The semi-final will be on Sunday and the final on Sunday 11 March.

2 What s coming up? Major Pairs Championship Entries close just about now (2 March) so rush to the club and be in it! First round will be Saturday 10 March, then Sunday, and both days of the following weekend for the victorious. Living Choice graded triples carnival Sponsored by Living Choice Retirement Villages At our very own grounds in Monday 19 March. Teams may be mixed with a minimum of 13 points in2017 terms. There will be two morning games only, of 12 ends each, followed by a light lunch. Entry fees are payable but prizes go down to the seventh team. Single entries or teams are due in by 5 March.

3 Committee news Annual General Meeting for Men's Club A reminder that this meeting is to be held on Saturday 3 March in the auditorium, commencing at The meeting should be brief, with just a few agenda items. A good attendance is requested, and it will be an opportunity to stay on and play in the afternoon, for those who are not regular Saturday players. Our charity activities Money we collect through the wrong bias jar is donated to local charities such as the Pennant Hills Support Centre, or to those that support illnesses that affect our members. So please continue to deliberately send em down the wrong way for a good cause! News from the Women s Club Committee news Hi all, A very belated Happy New Year to all. Our Christmas concert day was a great success; the concert was very funny thanks to all of the hard work and organisation of Di Wallace and Sue Evans and of course the fabulous Stars who are always willing to make fools of themselves for the day. Thanks to the staff from Abby s restaurant who supplied a very nice lunch and especially Richard who is still recovering after being dragged on to the dance floor. After joining new District Mitchell, our club has started Pennant season. This year our club has entered a Grade 1 s, Grade 2 s and a Grade 4. Opposition teams have all been very welcoming, however it means much further distances for our ladies to travel. One driver, after researching & very diligently studying the map managed to become a little red bus in a bus lane for nearly a kilometre, then successfully managed to do a U turn on very busy Old Northern Rd, in peak hour, because she missed the turn off, however all arrived at the club safely. Thanks to all the hard work from our uniform committee our new shirts have arrived and we all have had many comments from other clubs on how smart we all look. Speaking of new shirts another order will be placed in the next two to three weeks. To place an order, please contact President Margaret or Secretary Lynne. Anglicare has generously decided to sponsor the Ladies for another year, a big thank you to them. The club will be holding Anglicare Autumn Triples Carnival on Monday 28 th May, cost will be $75.00 per team. Entry sheets from Match will be available soon. The recruitment committee would like to gratefully thank the marketing team from Seven Hills Toongabbie RSL for their assistance; soon we will see Kel and Vicki Sullivan s smiling face around the club T.V. monitors, also on flyers. Various other ideas have been suggested which may be followed through in the future.

4 Coming Events Easter Monday Mixed Carnival Monday 2nd April. Notices will be on the board soon. Anglicare Autumn Triples Carnival Monday 23rd May. Di Wallace has organised a Jacaranda Cruise on Wednesday 7th November. Di would like deposit of $30.00 paid by Thursday 22nd March. The cruise is already fully booked however there is a reserve list, please see Di to be added to it. Di will be organising more events after the Pennant season.
