3 Teacher s Choice Awards Amanda Salisbury (Mrs. Roberts) She is smart and humble. She is great at helping others to stay calm and on task. She also explains the mathematics to her classmates in a respectful manner. Cheyenne Moore (Mr. Frederick) Cheyenne is always respectful and polite. She always makes sure that she makes up any work that she misses and avoids getting involved with the dramatics associated with this grade level. She is also willing to help other students that struggle with various mathematical concepts. Christopher Hallam (Mrs. Suite) Every day, I can count on Chris to be prompt, prepared, productive, and polite as the sign reads in my classroom. Many of our Hoosic Valley students are, but I found that Chris went above and beyond those 4 characteristics as he participates with enthusiasm on a daily basis. He is positivity personified! Katya Cyrulik (Mr. Myott) Katya always gives 100% to class and has a real gift for Spanish. She is a pleasure to teach. Katherine Rice (Mr. Myott) Kat is a Spanish machine! She always comes ready to work and works hard to see the world through the different perspectives that are out there. Emma Irwin (Mrs. Stark) Since 7 th grade French, I have been able to depend on Emma participating every single day in class. Always. And her French answers are always correct! Outstanding! Emily O Brien (Mrs. Stark) Emily is the silent partner in this corporation, working away at her desk, and voila! a perfect French essay or research paper. Someday she should publish a French novel! Christopher Smith (Mrs. Stark) Chris uses his French no matter where I see him and always with enthusiasm! He goes beyond the regular classroom use. McKenna McLaren (Ms. Das) McKenna is a very motivated student. She pushes herself to reach beyond the ordinary. Emaleigh Peckham (Mrs. Abraham) Emaleigh truly exemplifies the traits of a responsible and reflective student. She genuinely cares about every aspect of her work and strives to do her personal best on a daily basis. Andrew Kalbfliesh (Ms. Lanoue) Andrew is a true pleasure to have in class. He strives to do his best on all assignments from the smallest homework assignment to unit tests and essays. He is always in a positive and pleasant mood. This wonderful attitude is a great example to other students.
4 Dylan Hart (Ms. Lanoue) Dylan is a true example of an honors student. He understands the amount of effort and attention that should go into academics. He goes above and beyond on every assignment. Dylan is always willing to take constructive criticism and guidance in order to improve on already excellent work. I believe that it is this discipline and work ethic that will allow Dylan to achieve anything he sets his mind to. Joe Connors (Mr. Driver) for terrific insight in class discussion. Jared Martin (Mr. Driver) for exceptional insight in class discussions. Jade Yando (Mr. Driver) for her excellence in writing thought provoking work. Rebekah Keasbey (Mr. Driver) for both her formal and informal writing excellence. Molly Coons (Mrs. Martyn) I have chosen Molly to receive this award for a multitude of reasons. I have the pleasure of working with Molly in Communications, Accounting, CDOS, Financial Independence, and PC Applications. In every one of these classes Molly goes above and beyond. She works hard and stays on top of all her assignments. When she is done with assignments she also volunteers to help others. Molly is always a joy to be around. She wears a smile on her face every day, and she makes every single one of her classes a joy to be in. So this outstanding student award is not only for Accounting, but for every other class that Molly takes with me. Christopher Smith (Mrs. Huber) Chris is an exceptional history student who is always willing to go above and beyond in his research. Katherine Rice (Mr. Zajesky) Katherine is an exceptional student. Her work is always of the highest quality and she strives for perfection in all aspects of the course. In a college level class, she has earned an average of 100 in four marking periods and the midterm, and a meager 99 on the fifth marking period. Her knowledge of the subject is second to none and her essays are some of the strongest I have seen in my teaching career. Thomas Rice (Mr. Dorman) Tom is a gifted student when it comes to history. Tom has the ability to retain, interpret, and analyze history. Tom has a very bright future and I was glad I had the opportunity to teach him. Katya Cyrulik (Mrs. Risko) Katya has excelled in the study of global history. Katya is a gifted writer and has overwhelmed any expectations I have had. Katelyn Calhoun (Mrs. Risko) Katelyn is an extremely hard worker who always goes above and beyond with every assignment given. Gabrielle Koch (Ms. LaBombard) Gabi is a consistent worker. When things get tough Gabi gets tougher. She is always pleasant and polite. Carolyn Burnell (Ms. LaBombard) Carolyn brings positive energy with her every day. She respects the other students insights and contributes thoughtful ideas in class. She asks questions and helps other students with their questions. She also has a wonderful sense of humor.
