2 World news: Rare JK Rowling book The Tales of Beedle the Bard sold for 368,750 A rare and valuable handwritten copy of the JK Rowling book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, has been sold for 368,750 to an unnamed telephone bidder at the famous auction house Sotheby's. It's so rare in fact that there were only seven ever made. JK Rowling wrote the books to give as a gift to the most important people in her life during the time when she wrote Harry Potter. The cover is made of brown Moroccan leather and it's decorated with silver ornaments and seven unique stones. In 2007, a seventh copy of the book, which was made specially to be sold, was auctioned for a record 1.95 million.. 'Jetman' Yves Rossy flies alongside real jets Swiss daredevil, Yves Rossy, has taken to the skies alongside France's Alphajets. The professional 'Jetman' was inspired by the way birds fly and invented a series of jetpacks that allow him to glide through the clouds. He's flown through the Grand Canyon in America and across the English Channel. He says his obsession with flying can be dangerous, but he's yet to even get a scratch.

4 Wellington News: Christmas Dinner This week, we all enjoyed ourselves and had fun at the Christmas dinner, and opening our crackers with friends. There were many surprises in the crackers, as well in the teachers which meant they must have been having a good time too! Mohammed, a boy from Pine stated The lunch was really special especially because I had with my best friends, and even my class teacher! After hearing Mohammed s comment on this, the children must have had a good time. Thanks to Wilson Johns, dinner ladies and volunteers. Christmas party next week we will experience a brilliant Christmas party. With fun games to mouth-watering snacks. Jack from maple quoted this will was the best Christmas party I have ever experienced. My best part will be where we play the games. We all must thank all the staff for all the effort they have put in to organising the brilliant party. We also ask all the students to be well behaved like they were last year.
5 Question of the week: If you had the chance to invent something what would it be and why? Try and use a thinking map Send your answers to Mr Berrymen
