1 ARENA LEAGUE FOOTBALL Keene Fantasy Sports 2004 Year in Review Season 4 TWO STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON NORTH ADAMS FALLS SHORT AGAIN DES MOINES (AP) - Break out the headbands. Keene Fantasy Sports has its first dynasty. Following a muddled regular season, the Irishmen had a surprisingly easy run through the top two seeds in the playoffs, culminating in an ArenaBowl IV victory over their arch rivals from North Adams. Rich Gallup s Irish have now won back-to-back ArenaLeague titles and three of the first four ArenaBowls. Keith Bulluck set the tone early with an interception return for a touchdown, more than making up for the surprise absence of fellow linebacker Ray Lewis. Bulluck added 15 tackles for a total of 26 points, earning him the ArenaBowl MVP trophy and a all-expenses paid trip to the grocery store once stocked by the very first postseason MVP, Kurt Warner. Ironically, another Rams QB almost won this year s award as Marc Bulger led the team with 32 points. However, without a scary robot wife to stump for votes, Bulger had little chance of beating out the much thuggier Bulluck. For Jon Watterson s S & Ms, the offseason will have a familiar tone of disappointment following their 3rd runner-up finish in as many seasons. This defeat might be the hardest to swallow yet, as North Adams finished the regular season in dominating fashion after making one of the riskiest trades in KFS history and was considered the favorite in the championship game.
