20 Description work Self description is a concept developed by Niklas Luhmann, the sociologist with the Slip box method. It can be argued that the Slip box is a method to manipulate self descriptions. Unexpected insights have the power to change self descriptions. There is a room to use pre-designed structures but we should learn to trust our memory s ability to summon relevant items.
