6 Control and Function Navigation Control Standby button: Thi hould be ued to turn your radio on and off. The Standby creen will diplay the time, date and any etting et uch a alarm. To turn your radio on, pre the Standby button to be taken to the home creen or lat function that you were uing before putting into tandby. Select Dial/Volume: Rotate the dial clockwie or anticlockwie to croll through choice and pre down the dial to confirm election. Change the volume when you are on the radio tation playing diplay creen. The volume will not be altered when you are navigating around the radio a it will begin to function a the Select dial. Home button: Select the Home button to browe through your audio option uch a Local Radio, Internet Radio, Media Centre, Information Centre, AUX, Configuration Setting. Alo ue the Home button to cancel out of etting being made. Dimmer: Select Dimmer to chooe between the two default dimmer option. 7 Control and Function Baic Operation Starting up your internet radio Plug the adaptor connector into the back of the ytem labelled DC in (Ref.12) and turn the power on from the main. Switch the button at the back of the radio to ON (Ref.11) to diplay a Welcome creen. After the Welcome creen, you will be able to elect your choen language by crolling with the Select dial (Ref.10). Select your language by preing down the Select dial. If thi i the firt time of uing your radio, you will get the option to et up your WiFi to tream Internet Radio with the meage Would you like to configure network now?. If you elect YES, your radio will begin to can for nearby network to connect to. If you elect NO then you can et thi up later in configuration etting. 5
8 Intruction Guide Manual WiFi Set-up If you elect YES, you will be able to elect your choen WiFi network and enter WiFi paword in the next diplay creen. Type letter/number by crolling with the Select dial (Ref.10) until the correct digit i diplayed and click > (Ref.9) to go to the next digit. Once finihed, pre down the Select dial to confirm. 9 WiFi Connection Complete! Intruction Guide Once your WiFi i connected by manually entering your WiFi paword or via WPS, you will be taken to the main menu creen and the WiFi ignal will appear in white at the top left. Your internet radio i now et up! 7
10 Main Menu Screen Internet Radio Go to the main menu creen by electing Home (Ref.4) followed by electing Internet Radio Select Internet Radio on the diplay creen by turning and preing the Select dial (Ref.10) When in the Internet Radio creen there will be multiple option: My Favourite: Your favourite tation will be aved here for eay litening. Radio Station/Muic: Select thi option to browe internet radio tation in the categorie of: Global Top 20, Genre, Country/ Location, Highlight. Find tation under relevant categorie and elect your choen internet tation by electing with the Select dial. Local Radio: The radio i automatically et up to detect your country top DAB tation, Top 10 tation, All Station, plu a variety of genre into categorie in alphabetical order. Select the category that you wih to liten to with the Select dial (Ref.10) and continue browing until you find your deired tation. 11 Main Menu Screen Service: Search for an internet radio tation or add a new tation. To earch a new tation, elect Search Radio Station to go to the earch tool. Turn the Select dial to highlight the choen character and click > (Ref.9) to move to the next character. To go back to the previou character, pre < (Ref.7) to highlight it. Pre the Select dial (Ref.10) to earch for the internet tation. Pre-etting your favourite internet tation When you have found your deired tation, hold down Fav (Ref.5) for a few econd to go to the Add to my Favourite creen. Turn the elect dial to chooe the preet number and elect your option (Ref.10). To view your preet favourite tation, pre the Fav button to croll through your choice. Quick ue tip: Once preet have been et for Internet Radio, you can croll through the main diplay creen to one of thee option e.g Internet Radio and without electing it, click Fav to view your preet favourite tation for quick litening. 9
12 Main Menu Screen Media Centre Select Media Centre on the main diplay creen by turning the dial and preing the Select dial (Ref.10) USB: Plug in a USB tick (Ref.15) with file. Highlight the deired folder/ong with the Select dial (Ref.10) and elect for your choen ong to play. USB port alo able to charge your device. UPnP: Univeral Plug and Play allow you to connect to other device to play your muic uch a peronal computer (Window media player), mobile (GooglePlay) and other device. Once you have elected UPnP, elect the radio from your device to connect and from your phone you may need to elect the radio. Both your device and the Peterhoue radio will need to be connected to the ame WiFi network. Select the device with the Select dial you want to play muic or media from on the radio diplay creen in UPnP etting. If you have et up folder on your device that i being hared you can ue the Select dial to croll through your choice and confirm your election by preing the Select dial. 10 M Y W f A C I P T y M I a E w S t W a
13 My Playlit: Main Menu Screen You can create a playlit of favourite muic or media from UPnP. When you are playing the media, pre and hold the Select dial from unit or remote control to ave it into My Playlit. Acce My Playlit from the Media Centre. Clear My Playlit: If you have created a playlit via UPnP connection, you can elect thi option to clear the playlit. Select the option Clear my Playlit with the elect dial. The radio will then diplay Confirm delete?. Select YES to delete your playlit with the Select dial. My Media U: In configuration etting there i the option to connect a MediaU account via the webite Enure that WiFi i connected to the radio, and then obtain the wirele MAC addre of the radio via Information Centre > Sytem Information > Wirele Information. Enter thi addre on the MediaU webite to allow the radio to ync your account. When thi i uccefully configured you are then able to ave and view your own MediaU tation playlit. 11
14 Main Menu Screen Information Centre Go to the main menu creen by electing Home (Ref.4) followed by electing Information Centre. Weather Information: To elect the weather information for a deired place, firt elect the continent by uing the Select dial (Ref.10) to croll and elect. Following thi, then elect the country, followed by the town/city. Once you chooe a choen town/city, the following information will be diplayed: current temperature, weather ymbol image, approximate temperature range for the next 5 day. Financial Information: Select from a range of tock market index from around the world. Scroll and elect uing the Select dial. Sytem Information: View ytem verion and wirele connection information. 15 Main Menu Screen Connection AUX-In On the main menu creen, elect AUX mode with the Select dial (Ref.10) Plug an AUX cable into your device and connect cable via AUX-In port (Ref.14) at the back of the radio. Select your choen audio on your device and play. Pleae enure that your device volume i witched up for the bet audio ound. Line Out At the back of the radio, the Line Out port (Ref.13) allow for an external amplifier/tereo ytem. Simply connect an AUX cord from the Line Out port to the amplifer/tereo. Begin playing audio from the Internet Radio, Media Centre, or AUX. 13
16 Main Menu Screen Local Radio Select the option of Local Radio on the main diplay creen with the Select dial (Ref.10). 17 Setting Configuration Setting Go to the main menu creen by electing Home (Ref.4) and elect Configuration to browe through a range of etting. Network: Select thi for WiFi and network option Wirele Network Configuration On the Network etting, you can et up a Wi-Fi connection by electing Wirele Network Configuration (Ref.10). The radio will then tart earching for available WiFi connection. Find your WiFi connection and elect it with the Select dial (Ref.10). Once elected, you may need to type in the WiFi paword. To type letter/number, croll with the Select dial until the correct digit i diplayed and click > (Ref.9) to go to the next digit. Pre < (Ref.7) if you wih to go back to previou digit. Once you are finihed, pre down the Select dial (Ref.10) to confirm. Once your WiFi i connected, you will be taken to the main menu creen and the WiFi ignal will appear in white at the top left corner. Pleae note: Wi-Fi paword i cae enitive. 18 Setting Date & Time: Date and time option Manually etting date and time There i the option to manually et the time and date intead of uing auto-detect to et thi up. Go to Configuration etting and elect Date&Time by crolling and electing with the Select dial (Ref.10). Select Set Date and Time with the Select dial and chooe Manual Setup. Change the day by highlighting the character and uing the Select dial to croll through to the deired unit. Once you have got the correct unit, click > (Ref.9) to go to the month. Continue thi proce with the year, the hour and the minute. Once the manual et up i complete, pre down the Select dial (Ref.10) to Enter. To change the format of the date and the time, including etting a 12 hour or 24 hour clock, you can alter thee etting under the Set Time Format and Set Date Format option within thi Configuration Setting option. 19 Alarm Setting Alarm Setting Setting Alarm 1/Alarm 2 To et an alarm on your radio, go to Configuration etting and croll through to elect Alarm or click the Alarm button on the front of the radio (Ref.8). After thi, elect Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 and highlight Turn On and elect thi option (Ref.10). Select Repeat to chooe the regularity of your alarm with the Select dial (Ref.10). You can chooe between Everyday, Once or elect individual day for the alarm to ound. Once you have made your election, pre the < button (Ref.7) to go back to the other alarm etting. Select Time: and turn the dial to highlight the alarm hour. Once you have found the deired hour, pre > (Ref.9) to then change the minute. Once the minute are at the correct value, pre down the Select dial (Ref.10) to confirm and go back to alarm etting. Now croll down and elect Sound: with the Select dial. You can now chooe between beep, melody, internet radio, or USB. If you are etting your alarm ound a internet radio, then you will now be taken through your preet favourite tation. Select your choen alarm tation with the elect dial. The alarm ymbol will now how on the tandby diplay creen. 17

21 Alarm Setting Alarm Setting How to cancel your alarm To cancel your alarm, elect Alarm in Configuration etting or with the Alarm button (Ref.8) and elect the alarm you wih to turn off. Once the alarm i elected, you will have the option to Turn Off or Turn On. Highlight the Turn Off option and ue the Select dial (Ref.10) to confirm. How to turn off your alarm when ounding When your alarm i ounding, elect the Alarm (Ref.8) or Standby (Ref.2) button for alarm to top. If you have et an more than Once, the alarm icon will till remain on the main diplay creen. How to put your alarm on nooze When your alarm i ounding, pre the Select dial (Ref.10) or any other button except Standby or Alarm to top the ound and put into Snooze mode. The Snooze function will make the radio ound again in 5 minute. When the alarm ound again, top the Snooze alarm by preing Standby (Ref.2) or Alarm (Ref.8) 19
22 Alarm Setting Nap alarm After electing Alarm on Configuration etting, or the Alarm button (Ref.8) on the front of the radio, elect NAP alarm. Chooe how many minute you would like to have the nap alarm on with the option of: 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120 minute. Cancel the alarm by going to Nap alarm etting and witching to OFF Alarm volume Change alarm volume by going to the Alarm option in Configuration Setting or by preing Alarm (Ref.8) on the front of the radio. Scroll to the option for Alarm Volume and ue the Select dial (Ref.10) to change your alarm volume. Once the correct ound volume ha been choen, wait a few econd and the radio will automatically revert back to alarm etting option. Pleae note: The alarm volume et in thi etting will be the alarm ound and it cannot be changed with the Volume/ Select dial (Ref.10) when the alarm ound. O T T I T m O p D T b S i l a S a 20
23 Function Other Function The following option are available in Configuration etting: Timer In Configuration etting, elect the option for Timer and a creen with will diplay. To go up in econd, click the > button (Ref.9). To go down in econd, click the < button (Ref.7). Hold down the < or > to move through the timer quickly. Once you have choen the correct timer amount, confirm it by preing the Select dial (Ref.10). Dimmer The dimmer button allow you to elect two different brightne mode. You can alter the two brightne etting in Configuration etting and electing the option for Dimmer. Select Power Save mode to et the brightne for when there i no activity of the radio for 15 econd. Thi lower brightne level will et until a button i clicked and the Turn on etting will activate. Select Turn On mode to et the brightne for when the radio i active and in ue. 21
24 Function Software Update Will how here if a oftware update i available for the radio. If one i available, pleae elect for the update to initiate. Reet to default Select thi option to reet your radio and revert all of the etting and preet made. Confirm that you would like to reet the unit and it etting by electing Ye with the Select dial (Ref.10) Sleep Timer To et a leep timer, elect the Sleep button (Ref.6) and pre repeatedly to witch between leep time on the top right of the diplay creen. There i an option between 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180 minute. To turn Sleep off, pre multiple time until the timer i no longer there or Turn Off in configuration etting. Alternatively, you can et a leep timer in Configuration etting and elect the option for Sleep Timer. 25 Function Additional Setting Option Time diplay - Select Analog or Digital Language - Select your choen language within the lit Diplay - Chooe the diplay to be Colour or Monochrome Power management - Select thi to configure the radio to go into tandby mode automatically after a et time of inactivity or if there i no WiFi ignal. Select turn off to ignore thi function. Buffer - Configure the buffer time of the muic playback: 2/4/8/ econd. Weather - Activate/deactivate the weather forecat for the tandby diplay. Chooe your preferred temperature unit and enter your location. Thi will then diplay in the clock diplay on the tandby creen every 10 econd. Local radio etup - Manually et up your location for Local radio rather than allowing the radio to Auto Detect. Playback etup - Select the playback mode of the Media Centre: OFF, Repeat All, Repeat One or Shuffle. Device - Default name for DLNA i AirMuic. You can rename the device for DLNA etup. Equalier - Default equalier i normal. You may change it to Flat, Jazz, Rock, Soundtrack, Claical, Pop, or New. Reume when power on - Turn off the function for the radio to reume when powered on. Intead, the creen will remain in main menu. 23
