4 In modern electrical installation, whether it is a instrument or power, the cable support systems have been used in wide variety of applications not only to facilitate the cable installation but also to ensure reliable structural rigidity under various environmental conditions, to reduce the maintenance cost and even to provide a good appearance to the installation system itself. TECHNICAL INFORMATION There are several kinds of materials used in cable support system, but the most commonly used are: ---Steel ---Aluminium ---Stainless Steel Thickness of materials The usual standard thickness in fabrication is 2mm for heavy duty cable ladders. Finishing Finishing is intended to protect the steel materials from corrosion because of oxidation process. Commonly it is necessary to provide a certain process which would maintain a strong protective layer on the entire surface of the metal to protect it from corrosion. There are several types of finishing process but the most effective in others are: Hot dip galvanization Hot dip galvanization plus coal Tar Epoxy. Epoxy powder coated. Hot Dip galvanization (HG) This type of process proved its effectiveness in protecting the steel from oxidation, and also the process itself will not affect the tensile strength of the metal. TESTING FACILITIES SHEET MATERIALS, STRUCTURES AND OTHER BASIC RAW MATERIALS AND INPROCESS FABRICATION Test certificate is obtained from the main producers for physical and Chemical properties. We also send a strip of the row material to reputed laboratories for Physical and Chemical properties. The materials are checked physically and visually at producers place and checked again at our stores on receipt of material. The materials are finally inspected on fabrication, by our quality control department with the customer/inspecting authority before dispatching to the Galvanizer.The materials are offered for final inspection to the customer at the Galvanizers place, after Galvanizing with prior intimation.
