2 ID SERIES OUTDOOR INDUSTRIAL DIPOLE ANTENNA Designed for outdoor, rough environments, the ID Series antenna is constructed to survive in extreme temperature ranges and under harsh UV conditions. It is tested and certified for IP67 exposure using UL (f1) compatible materials. This robust antenna is an integrated solution, combining both cable and antenna into a single unit, resulting in up to 2% better efficiency than a traditional solution using a separate cable and antenna. Higher efficiency means more radiated power and longer-range operation. An integrated mounting bracket simplifies installation, shortening time and lowering costs. The ID Series antenna is a cost-effective solution for challenging applications with increased reliability and fewer points of failure. Available in 868 and 916MHz and 2.4GHz, the ID Series dipole antenna is suitable for a wide range of ruggedized applications in many countries. 3 FEATURES The ID Series, ½-wave center-fed Industrial Dipole antenna is a weatherized design with industrial and outdoor applications in mind, such as outdoor meters, solar panel controls and other sensor monitoring and control systems requiring a low cost - but rugged - solution. The plastic and cable are rated for a wide temperature range and UV exposure for long term reliability. Two standard cable lengths of 1m and 2m allow the antenna to be remote mounted in a position to achieve the best RF performance. An integrated flange makes mounting the antenna simple. ID Series antennas attach via a standard SMA or Part 15 compliant RP-SMA connector. Custom colors, cable lengths and connectors are available for volume OEM customers. TEMPERATURE PROTECTION A wide -4 C to +8 C temperature range on both the plastic sleeve and the cable makes the ID Series suitable for outdoor use in many regions. IP67 & UV PROTECTED With an IP67 rating and UV protection, the ID Series was designed for years of operation in the field exposed to wind, rain and sun without fail. RUGGED The antenna was designed to stand up to the demands of years of outdoor use in tough environments. 2% INCREASED EFFICIENC The number of connection points in the design has been minimized to reduce overall losses, resulting in a higher efficiency that a connectorized solution. INTEGRATED SOLUTION The cable and mounting bracket are integrated into the design, making field installation simple and lower cost than multi-piece solutions. This also provides fewer points of potential failure than other solutions. LONGER RANGE The 1m or 2m cable allows the antenna to be mounted in the best position for RF communications. Combined with increased efficiency of an integrated design, the ID Series can provide longer system range than multipiece solutions. 3
