The FinishLynx Interface connects compatible NEVCO scoreboards to computers using FinishLynx software. It allows selected information to be posted to the scoreboard such as multiple lane finish times for track (see diagram 1 on page 2 and diagram 2 on page 4). Serial Communications setup examples are provided as a starting point. Please contact your software provider for specific details. Figures 1 and 2 below show the parts and connections for the FinishLynx Interface. Diagram 2 Diagram 2 shows the scoreboard being used to display data from a FinishLynx PC or operated normally with a NEVCO MPC Control. They are communicating wirelessly by means of a FinishLynx Wireless Interface. Wireless For wireless communication between the PC and the scoreboard, (diagram 2) the FinishLynx Wireless system can be used. The wireless devices are married together at the factory so they will communicate exclusively with each other. The FinishLynx Wireless Interface has the same connections and uses the same power supply as the FinishLynx Wired Interface. (Refer to Figures 1 and 2). Inputs and outputs on the FinishLynx Interface are dynamic and auto-sensing on a firstcome first-serve basis. Please be sure to disconnect the computer input prior to using the MPC Coax input, and vice-versa. NOTE: The FinishLynx Wireless signal is NOT compatible with the MPCW-5 Receiver, the MPCW-6 Receiver, or the MPCHA Receiver Rev. A Page 3 6/7/2016

5 FinishLynx Users Example of Com Port Setup The above dialog box (found in the FinishLynx software under Scoreboard Options ) is a suggested starting point for operation of the FinishLynx system on a Nevco Scoreboard, using Model Code 123. Please note the Script used is Nevco 123.lss. (If your MPC Control model code is 860, please use the Script, Nevco 860.lss. See Compatibility chart.) In this example, Com 1 was being used on the computer. Any installed com port can be used. Please set it to baud, 8 Data Bits, No Parity, and 1 Stop Bit.
