2 Elantra (with double DIN radio) Unclip and remove the dimmer switch panel, and then remove (1) Phillips screw exposed behind the panel. (Figure A) 2. Unclip and remove the shifter trim panel. 3. Remove (1) Phillips screw at the bottom of the radio trim panel. (Figure C) 4. Unclip and remove the temperature control cable under the drivers side of the dash from the white plastic bracket. 5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio, and then remove the radio. (Figure A) Dash Disassembly (Figure C) 2

3 Dash Disassembly Santa Fe Remove the ashtray, and then remove (2) Phillips screws now exposed in the cavity. (Figure A) 2. Unclip and remove the climate control panel. 3. Remove (2) Phillips screws facing up at bottom of radio trim panel. (Figure C) 4. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel. (Figure D) 5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio, and then remove the radio. (Figure A) (Figure C) (Figure D) 3

4 Dash Disassembly Sonata Sonata Unclip and remove the trim panel around the shifter. (Figure A) 2. Remove (1) Phillips screw at the bottom of the radio trim panel. 3. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel. 4. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio, and then remove the radio. (Figure A) 1. Unclip and remove the trim panel in front of the shift lever, and then remove (2) Phillips screws exposed underneath. (Figure A) 2. Unclip and remove the shift lever trim panel. (Figure A) 3. Remove (2) Phillips screws at the bottom of radio trim panel. 4. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel. 5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio, and then remove the radio. (Figure A) A B 4

5 Dash Disassembly Tiburon (with double DIN radio) Unclip and remove the panel surrounding the shift lever. (Figure A) 2. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel. 3. Remove (2) Phillips screws securing the radio, and then remove the radio. (Figure A) 5

6 Kit Assembly ISO DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Attach the appropriate spacer (see legend below) between the radio housing and the radio brackets, aligning the holes in the radio housing to the clips on the radio brackets. (Figure A) 2. Attach the pocket to the lower section of the radio brackets using the (4) #8 x 3/8 Phillips screws provided. 3. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 4. Slide the radio into the bracket/pocket assembly, and then secure using the screws supplied with the radio. 5. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 6. Reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure A) Legend For the Hyundai Sonata , Hyundai Tiburon (with double DIN radio) , and the Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles, use the provided thick spacers. For the Elantra (with double DIN radio) vehicles, use the provided thin spacers. The spacers will need to be removed from the shipping bar. 6

7 Kit Assembly ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Attach the appropriate spacer (see legend below) between the radio housing and the radio brackets, aligning the holes in the radio housing to the clips on the radio brackets. (Figure A) 2. Slide the radio into the assembly and then secure using the screws supplied with the radio. 3. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 4. Reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly.
