1 CHAPTER 1 This chapter lists the 1100 series autonomous (AIR-AP1120B or AIR-AP1121G) access point IEEE b (2.4-GHz) and IEEE g (2.4-GHz) channels and the maximum power levels supported by the world s regulatory domains. For additional product hardware information refer to the Cisco Aironet 1100 Series Access Point Hardware Installation Guide. The following topics are covered in this chapter: Channels, page 1-10 Maximum Power Levels, page 1-12 Changing Access Point Output Power, page
2 Channels Chapter 1 Channels AIR-AP1120B IEEE b (2.4-GHz Band) The channel identifiers, channel center frequencies, and regulatory domains of each IEEE b 22-MHz-wide channel are shown in Table 1-1. 5 Chapter 1 Changing Access Point Output Power Changing Access Point Output Power This section provides instructions for changing the 1100 series autonomous access point output power to comply with the maximum power limits imposed by regulatory restrictions. Administrator privileges may be required in order to change access point settings. Regulatory domains are set at the factory and cannot be changed by the user. Regulatory domains are set at the factory and cannot be changed by the user. Caution To meet regulatory restrictions, the access point and the external antenna must be professionally installed. The network administration or other IT professional responsible for installing and configuring the unit is a suitable professional installer. Following configuration, access to the unit should be password protected by the network administrator to maintain regulatory compliance. To change the access point output power level, follow these instructions: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Use your web-browser to access your access point. When the Summary Status page displays, click Radio B or Radio G and the radio status page appears. Click Settings and the radio settings page appears. For the B or G radio, follow these steps: a. Scroll down to the CCK Transmit Power (dbm) settings and click the desired output power level. b. For the OFDM Transmit Power (dbm) settings, click the desired output power level. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Apply. Close your web-browser. 1-13
