2 No.: NITPY/PHY/LAB/Q-0/ Quotation: Terms & Conditions Sub: Procurement of Equipments for Physics Laboratory Sealed Quotations are invited for Procurement of Equipments for Physics Laboratory as per the details given in the Annexure: - 1. The sealed quotations should reach the Registrar, National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Nehru Nagar, Karaikal on or before 3.30 P.M. on and they will be opened on the same day at 4.30 P.M. in the presence of a committee. The offers will not be considered if received after the bid closing date and time.. The quotations should be sealed and superscripted as QUOTATIONS AGAINST ENQUIRY NO., NITPY/PHY/LAB/Q-0/ dated , Due date:.1.015, 3.30 p.m. 3. The rates should be inclusive of all taxes, freight, packing, forwarding, etc. 4. The rate quoted shall on FOR destination basis at our premises. 5. The quote is not transferable. 6. The offers received through telex / Tele-fax / will not be accepted by the Institute under any circumstances. 7. The Institute shall not be responsible for any delay / loss or non-receipt of quotes by post / courier service. 8. No unsolicited correspondence shall be entertained after the submission of the offer.

3 9. Quoting merely the lowest price does not confer any right to any bidder for award of supply order. The Institute reserves the right to select any bid on the grounds of quality, offer of additional / special features, compatibility, etc. 10. The Institute also reserves the right to reject any bids with sub-standard products even if they are found to be lowest. 11. Validity of quotation must be mentioned clearly. Quotes should be valid at least for about 60 days. 1. The period of delivery exceeding three months is not normally allowed. 13. Full particulars regarding the make, manufacturing specifications and standards, guarantee period, and descriptive literature should accompany the quotation. 14. The price and the delivery period should be clearly stated in the quotation. 15. If any articles are not up to the prescribed quality or specification it is liable for outright rejection. 16. At the time of dispatch of articles, Delivery Note should be given along with the articles. 17. The quantity and specifications of the equipment is attached as Annexure I. 18. All disputes arising in connection with this are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Karaikal, Puducherry only. For certain items, your product specifications are slightly variant (towards higher side), in that case, kindly mention it in your quote. (iii) For all items mentioned in the list, photo of the finished product and or supporting brochure is mandatory along with the quotation. That enables us to choose the correct product/ accessory in spite of synonym or different names for the same product by different vendors/ manufacturers/ users. (iv) (v) Kindly mention and quote separately, if the certain additional accessories are not included along with the basic equipment. If the material used for the equipments or the accessories are different than the requested one, kindly mention it in your quotation. (vi) If your product has additional features are advantageous over the conventional equipment/ requested one, kindly highlight it and quote for the same. 6

In that case, kindly mention it and quote it separately along with the supporting brochure/ photo user manual etc. (viii) Incomplete quotations, without specific information will not be considered for further perusal. ******* 7
