4 INTRODUCTION CUBEACON TOOLS Finds nearby beacons with real-time distance estimates and display all identi ers of each one discovered based on region that already listed. Makes your Android OS device transmit as an Beacon with con gurable identi ers. Manage your region list for scanning purpose. This app requires a device with Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.0. Requires Android 4.3 and up. 3

7 BEACON DETAILS To view Detail Beacons, Click one of visible Beacons. In Beacons Detail you can callibrate Beacons 6

8 REGION SCANNING First to use Region Scanning, You must add new Region After input Add Region, click Toggle Button Scan prede ned region and Region Scanning that you made 7

9 EDIT AND DELETE REGION SCANNING Touch and hold the Region that you want You can choose edit Region Scanning or delete the Region Scanning the Region 8

10 CONFIGURE BEACONS Press CONNECT to connect Beacons After press CONNECT, will show visible Beacons. choose Beacon that you want to modify con guration 9

11 CONNECT TO CUBEACON DEV KIT Press CONNECT to connect Beacons INFORMATION Before you connect the Cubeacon Kit, Please press the K2 button on the Beacon to enter the Con g Mode. After press CONNECT, will show v i s i b l e B e a c o n s. c h o o s e Cubeacon Kit that you want to modify con guration. example you chose Beacon Con g Cubeacon Dev Kit 10

12 CONFIGURE CUBEACON DEV KIT Promixity UUID Con gure Major Value and Minor Value Enter the RSSI value calculated at 1 meter distance from the Beacon using your phone When you connect the Cubeacon kit, can t connect to others Beacon because this session still con gure the Cubeacon kit. To end con gure press DISCONNECT and you can Connect to others Beacon again. 11

13 CONNECT TO CUBEACON CARD Press CONNECT to connect Beacons CUBEACON CARD After press CONNECT, will show visible Beacons. choose Cubeacon Card that you want to modify con guration. example you chose Cubeacon_

14 CONFIGURE CUBEACON CARD Provide Major Value of Beacon Provide Minor Value of Beacon High transmission power will increase signal coverage. This will make power consumption higher too. Change Beacon Name Enter the RSSI Value Calculated at 1 meter distance from the Beacon using your phone Lower broadcast interval of beacon will make power consumption higher too. Change Serial ID Beacon 13
