3 Wrning notes To void injury to persons, dmge to property or the environment, the following wrning notes must e oserved! Do not open, interfere with or modify the unit! All ctivities (mounting, instlltion nd service work, etc.) must e performed y qulified stff Before mking ny wiring chnges in the connection re, completely isolte the plnt from mins supply (ll-polr disconnection). Ensure tht the plnt cnnot e indvertently switched on gin nd tht it is indeed ded. If not oserved, there is risk of electric shock hzrd Ensure protection ginst electric shock hzrd y providing dequte protection for the urner control s connection terminls Ech time work hs een crried out (mounting, instlltion, service work, etc.), check to ensure tht wiring is in n orderly stte nd mke the sfety checks s descried in Commissioning notes Press the lockout reset utton only mnully (pplying force of no more thn 0 N) without using ny tools or pointed ojects Do not press the lockout reset utton on the unit or the remote reset utton (input 2) for more thn 0 seconds, since this would dmge the lockout rely inside the unit Fll or shock cn dversely ffect the sfety functions. Such units must not e put into opertion, even if they do not exhiit ny dmge In the cse of flme supervision with flme detectors QRA53 / QRA55, it should e noted tht sources of rdition such s hlogen lmps, welding equipment, specil lmps, ignition sprks, s well s X-rys nd gmm rdition, cn produce erroneous flme signls Mounting notes Ensure tht the relevnt ntionl sfety regultions re complied with. Connect the erthing lug inside the terminl se to urner ground using screw with lockwsher An ignited UV tue is source of UV rdition! If this is not oserved, there is risk of loss of sfety functions Upgrding existing plnt When equipping existing plnts with LOK6 or LGK6, the existing plug-in se for LAL or LFL urner controls must e replced with the mtching plug-in se AGM7 for LOK6 / LGK6. Strt repetition in the event of loss of flme By removing link (B) on the underside of the unit, the LOK6... cn e switched to strt repetition in the event of loss of flme during opertion. In tht cse, the wire link must e cut off completely. However, it must e checked whether this is in complince with ntionl stndrds nd regultions. Note! In pplictions involving ir heters (WLE), or in the cse of oil urners with mximum throughput of > 30 kw/h, removing wire link B is not permitted. 3/28

15 Function Principle of self-supervision Prerequisites for urner strtup In contrst to conventionl mplifiers, the signl delivered y the flme detector is hndled dynmiclly nd not stticlly. The flme detector signl is converted to sequence of control pulses nd then fed to the flme rely circuit. The ltter is designed such tht the flme rely cn only e energized y flme signl of the descried form. If the pulses chnge due to fulty detector or fulty detector cles, the rely will e deenergized nd the urner control triggers the required sfety ctions. In the cse of UV supervision, it must lso e ensured tht self-ignition of the UV tue (e.g. due to ging) does not simulte flme signl. For tht reson, incident rdition t the UV cell is periodiclly interrupted y shutter. In ddition to the self-checking fcility, the flme signl circuit is sujected to functionl test during the prepurge time. If it does not operte correctly, the strtup sequence will e orted or lockout initited. Furthermore, if mins voltge drops to level where sfe opertion of the urner control is no longer ensured, the urner will utomticlly shut down. When mins voltge returns to the norml level, the urner control repets the strtup sequence. If the detector signls re only slightly ove the minimum levels, such mins voltge fluctutions cn lso give rise to urner lockout however. - The urner control is reset nd in the strt position (terminls nd 2 must receive power) - The ir dmper is closed. The end switch (z) for the CLOSED position must pss voltge from terminl to terminl 8 - All control contcts etween terminls 2 nd 5 (limit thermostt, control thermostt, etc.) must e closed 5/28

16 Strtup progrm A t Strt When control thermostt or pressurestt closes, the urner control s sequence switch strts running. At the sme time, the fn motor connected to terminl 6 (only prepurging) receives power nd, on completion of switch-on dely time, the fn motor or flue gs fn t terminl 7 (pre- nd postpurging) lso receives power. On completion of intervl (t6), the control commnd to open the ir dmper is given vi terminl 9. During the running time of the motor, the sequence switch does not operte, s terminl 8, vi which the motor of the sequence switch first receives power, is not live during tht period of time. The sequence switch strts gin nd egins the prepurge time (t) only fter the ir dmper is fully open nd end switch hs chnged over to feed power to terminl 8. Prepurge time with ir dmper fully open (nominl mount of comustion ir) Shortly fter the strt of the prepurge time, ir pressure switch must chnge over, thus interrupting the current pth etween terminls 4 nd 3. Otherwise, the urner control would go to lockout (strt of ir pressure check). At the sme time, terminl 4 must e live since this current pth is used to power the ignition trnsformer nd the fuel vlves. t3 With the LOK6, n ignition trnsformer connected to terminl 5 is therefore switched on t this point in time (long preignition). If there is no ir pressure switch, the ignition trnsformer receives power lredy with the strt commnd. On completion of the prepurge time, the urner control vi terminl 0 drives the ir dmper into the low-fire position, which is determined y the chngeover point of uxiliry switch (m). During the positioning time, the sequence switch stops gin until terminl 8 receives power from «m». t5 Intervl On completion of intervl (t5), terminl 20 receives power. At the sme time, control outputs 9 to nd input 8 re glvniclly seprted from the unit s control section, so tht the ltter is protected ginst reverse voltges from the lod control circuit. The strtup sequence of the urner control ends with the relese of lod controller t terminl 20. The sequence switch switches itself utomticlly off, depending on the time vrint used, either immeditely or fter some so-clled idle steps, tht is, without chnging the contct positions. Expnding flme urners with LOK6... or LGK6... t3 Short preignition time; followed y fuel relese vi terminl 8. TSA Sfety time (prt lod) On completion of the sfety time ltest, flme signl must e present t the input of the flme signl mplifier, or else the urner control will initite lockout.
