The signal processing of sensor signal is done by digital electronics with 6-bit analog digital converter. Consequently it is possible to conduct an active compensation of sensor intrinsic deviations from normal condions like nonlinearity and thermal error. In order to facilitate stock-keeping and maintenance the transmitter body is plugged to the cable assembly with a connector and can be changed easily. A permissible operating temperature of up to 85 C and the possibility to use the device in intrinsic safe areas enable to measure the pressure of various fluids under extreme conditions. The basis for the LMK 458H is a capacitive ceramic sensor element, which offers a high overload resistance and medium compatibility.
