2 FUNCTIONALITY DuoSmart is a modern packaging solution that combines the attractive appearance of paper with the functionality of plastic. The brand addresses concerns about the environment, with no compromise on quality or safety. Material options include PP, PS, PET and PP/EVOH for more demanding shelf-life requirements. For an even more sustainable solution, biopolymers can also be used. DuoSmart is the perfect packaging solution to protect the nutritional value, colour, aroma and taste of food products. A wide choice of materials makes DuoSmart ideal for an array of food products, including those stored in ambient, chilled or frozen conditions. Hot filling and microwaving are also an option. 3 PAPER MAKES A DIFFERENCE The removable cardboard wrap provides strength and rigidity, with a complete printing surface from the top to the bottom. The inside of the wrap can also be printed with promotional messages or product information, and the printable paper base can help enhance the product s shelf presentation. The cardboard is derived from renewable resources, and can be easily removed by consumers when sorting the recyclable materials. Offered with a wide choice of virgin or recycled cardboard, and available with PEFC or FSC certifications if required. 50% PLASTIC REDUCTION The inner cup s weight is reduced significantly when compared with standard plastic packaging. VARIETY OF CLOSURES DuoSmart has a flat sealing rim for efficient closing with sealable aluminium, plastic and paper-based membranes. A wide choice of rigid snap-on lids are available, with different decoration options: Plastic lids labelling with rotogravure or dry offset printing, or in-mould labelling; Paper lids with flexography or offset printing. Dome lids provide space for additional contents, like condiment sachets, croutons, cereals, or cutlery. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY Contains less plastic and with a zip option, the inner cup and the sleeve can be easily separated into different waste streams. The superior protection offered by the packaging assures the food products stay safe throughout the supply chain. CREATIVE BRANDING DuoSmart is great for brand advertising and promotional messages as both sides of the cardboard wrap and the cardboard base can be fully printed. It is ideal for high-quality offset printing with a matt or gloss finish. Hot or cold foil stamping ensures outstanding presentation of top-end products. DuoSmart also offers exciting design and presentation opportunities with the option of see-through window cut-outs, in a variety of shapes and sizes. Promotional opportunities are numerous; adhesive stickers for children or recipe booklets can be hidden in-between the inner cup and the outer paper segment. Unicode printing allows text or numbers on the inside of the wrap to be changed for different marketing campaigns.
