Throughout the history of analogue photography, photographers have often applied multi-exposure techniques to give their images a particular look. The AF Live View with its 11-point multi-area high-speed contrast AF not only let s you shoot easily via the LCD, it also gives you full control on the image before shooting. This means that you can see the effect of your settings e.g. exposure, white balance or the art effects, and adjust them just before pressing the release button. A great benefi t to get to your ideal image in a most effi cient way. In addition, the shooting in Live View mode is extremely comfortable as you have a clear bright view on the 6.9cm/2.7" HyperCrystal II LCD even in direct sunlight or from extreme angles. On top, the dual-axis LCD can be swivelled in horizontal and vertical directions, opening up totally new perspectives for your photos from these extreme angles. Preview with 5, 7 or 10x zoom. The Live View function is also a major advantage for creative macro photography. Before pressing the shutter, you can magnify any part of the image you choose with a 5, 7 or 10 x zoom. Therewith the enlarged image can be scrolled to check the details of any position and to set the focus at exactly the position you like. For precision focusing, manual focusing is recommended, but Contrast AF can also be chosen. Optimising shadows and focus on faces. The E-30 makes it much easier for you to take people shots. With the help of Face Detection Technology, the camera identifi es and properly exposes up to eight different faces. If the faces are silhouetted against back light, Shadow Adjustment Technology (named as Gradation Auto in the camera menu) is activated to capture both the faces and the background clearly. During Live View shooting, the E-30 s LCD monitor can display one of three framing assistant patterns including the golden section, gridlines and scale to adjust the image horizontally.
