2 An Italian Shoreline. As viewed from a Seaplane. Sized: 4 /3 I won t paint a picture, but I will lay out the components. You can arrange it in your head. There is a title, for a guide. This is your captain speaking. The weather is splendid. Perhaps you should consider a souvenir? Early Morning by The Fountain. Sized: 1m/1m Deconstructionisminity. Unassembled back to the purity of basics. Humour is such a long word. I mean, a child could have, couldn t they? Or did they? The coffee was wonderful!

3 Social Wallpaper. Sized: 9 /4 set on a triptych of three 3 /4 canvases. A collage of coloured papers. A novel-artwork. Three layers of TEXT: A full word novel. A 6235 word abridged version, for a 20 minute read. A 149 word blurb and informational. These novel-artworks were created using thousands of tiny pieces of coloured paper, meticulously cut and glued into place by hand. The text flows across the colours so anyone viewing the artworks can sample and read different parts of the stories at different locations upon the surface. The artworks not only incorporate an entire novel, they also emulate the form itself. Through the different layers of text and paper, they represent the way that stories communicate the thoughts and actions of characters in settings while gradually revealing their overall themes and deeper subtexts. Two brothers become embroiled in a bloody feud between rival bar owners on Kos Island. They narrowly manage to escape, vowing to keep the horror their experiences a secret. Once home, one of the brothers falls in love with his best friend s girl, and they begin a clandestine relationship. The situation is complicated by them all living together in the same shared house. The pressure of of keeping so many secrets gradually becomes overwhelming As the terrible truth about what really happened on Kos Island is finally revealed, can the brothers somehow avoid the even greater threat, lurking much closer to home?

Every movement is a decision, captured and revealed. Every decision responds to the sum total of all the previous decisions. The zenith thrill for the tortured artist on a zero-hours contract. Transcend that knee issue. Experience travel unencumbered by travel.

5 Dennis is being exploded, but he doesn t know it yet. He hasn t got much time. A fraction of a fraction of a second, in fact. In this time, there is still time to play God by providing a new lease of life for a notorious seventeeth century terrorist, and by helping a childless couple to conceive. Can Dennis somehow make sense of his life from being a boy evacuated from pre-war Nazi Germany through to being a philosophy lecturer on the cusp of an incredible world-altering discovery? And most importantly: can he be reunited with his long lost love in the nick of time while still confronting the biggest question of them all? Fireworks. Sized: 9 /5 set on a triptych of three 3 /5 canvases. A collage of coloured papers. Three layers of TEXT: A full word novel. A 9190 word abridged version, for a 20 minute read. A 141 word blurb and informational. Hallmarks of some traditional figurative art are simulated for the viewer via the story itself creating the pictures. As with all things that require the imagination as a partner, the collaboration between the artwork and the viewer is unique. There exists an interesting tension between the bright brash bold colours and shapes of the image and the depth and complexity delivered by the text.

6 Enjoyable conversations about unimportant things. Sized: 3 /4 Welcome To New York. Sized: 1m/1m Duchamp s found objects, playing to his strengths. Mondrian s white and colour rhythms. Texture creates surprises in low and the half-light. Space and simplicity with a side salad of suspense. With a Broadway Boogie-Woogie in the back of my mind.

7 The Airplane. Sized: 9 /4 set on a triptych of three 3 /4 canvases. A collage of coloured papers. Three layers of TEXT: A full word novel. A 5893 word abridged version, for a 20 minute read. A 156 word blurb and informational. A father and his young son lose control of a model airplane they are flying out on the downs. It kills a man in a nearby village and completely destroys two families. While investigating a future terror plot involving a second model airplane, a maverick detective offers both families a unique opportunity to mend the past. The detective gradually reveals his highly unconventional policing methods, weaving a mysterious web between science and the supernatural. Despite everything that has happened, can they all somehow unite to thwart the terror plot and save the world? Artworks can exist for many reasons. While these novel-artworks exist as a vehicle for showing a novel in a collage form - they are also advertisements. They advertise the actual published book that they were derived from, or created simultaneously with. In this way, the stories can be accessed in a more portable form. In this way, many can know of the stories contained within these artworks, without ever having actually seen the artworks themselves. These artworks will be travelling through cities, making (fleeting) galleries of every street they journey down. For this purpose, they will be teamed up with a bespoke skateboard. The audience for these journeys will be anyone who happens to be in the space at the time.

8 Portrait with Models taking a break. Sized: 3 /4 Drinking Coffee on Las Ramblas. Sized: 1m/1m This is a blank canvas, like the one in the play. Except this one has been started, whilst also being finished. Must be worth a fortune. Van Gogh s spirit in the face of adversity. Picasso s spring in the step of success. Warhol s repetitive strain injury. All is revealed by a posture and a glance. Individuals featured are definitely on or in the game. Alone with a book or in company. There are great choices. The waiter appreciated the incredible tip as he cleared away.
