1 Back in 1720, when Charles Laclef ran a business in Paris at the corner Rue du Four and the Rue Princesse where he traded pigments and spices and from where all the painters of the time came to buy their raw materials. Chardin the artist had his studio above the shop and when he was unwell and no longer able to grind his paints he asked Laclef (ansector of the Lefranc firm) to do so and this was the foundation of what was later to become the Colour Industry. For more than 280 years L & B has remained the reference for all colour products. It is a company whose goal has remained as the founders originally intended : to achieve perfection making products for artists. 3 SOLVENTS, OILS Solvents are used to dilute the mediums and paint for the first layers of the painting. Next, the quantity of solvent must be reduced so that the lean to fat rule is always followed. 9 DECO 3D - ACCESSORIES This is a very thick acrylic colour that is applied very easily with Déco 3D accessories (painting knife, spatula, nozzles, painting comb and effect rollers). Déco 3D adheres perfectly to wood, plaster, paper, cardboard and acrylic-painted surfaces. Test the adherence beforehand on smooth supports (glass, porcelain, metal). The drying time varies according to the thickness of the layer. It can be varnished when dry. 16 IMAGE TRANSFER AND AGEING Ageing varnish gives a patina of age with a gloss and slightly yellowed finish to decorated objects. Equipment can be washed with warm soapy water. It is advisable to use this varnish on a non-porous support. If a porous support is used, apply an initial coat of ageing varnish and leave it to dry for 3 days.
