3 Employee Using Payroll Deduction How Does Payroll Deduction Work? Payroll Deduction charges, will begin coming out of your next paycheck. If your purchase is $ or under, deductions will be made from each paycheck as follows: $20 for hourly, $40 for salaried, until your purchase has been paid in full. If the purchase is more that $150, the amount deducted from your next paycheck will be the amount the purchase is above $150 plus $20 for hourly or $40 for salaried. For example, if the total of your purchase is $250, the amount deducted from your next paycheck will be $120 (if hourly) or $140 (if salaried) ($250-$150=$100 plus $20 =$120 [or plus $40 if you are a salaried employee = $140]) NOTE: Any other existing payroll deductions (Fairwater Store, Optical Shop, Safety Shoe upgrade, etc.) will be added to the cost of this purchase and may affect the amount that will be deducted from your paychecks.
