Crochet experience is recommended, as it contains some special stitches, see "Abbreviations" below. Carefully read each section! Please note that no test crocheters have crocheted this blanket errors in the pattern may occur. If you find any errors, please design@favoritgarner.se so we can correct the error. Tip! YouTube has several videos that show how different stitches are made. Yarn: Scheepjes Stone Washed XL, 70 % cotton, 30 % acrylics, 50 gr = 75 m Colours skeins: Smokey Quartz (13) Black Onyx (8) Crystal Quartz (2) Corundum Ruby (3) Garnet (3) Deep Amethyst (3) Rose Quartz (3) Hook size: 5,0 mm/h (If you crochet hard, try 5,5-6,0 mm (I / J) 10 x 10 cm = 9 rounds x 14 dc Finished size: 1 square 18 x 18 cm / 7,1 x 7,1 inches, the whole blanket appr. 100 x 130 cm / 40 x 51 inches. For larger size, add more squares.

3 Flower square Start: Color 1. Magic circle Round 1: Hdc8 in circle (8 hdc) Round 2: Color 2. Front loops only. Start in any st. Sl st, *ch12, sl st in same lp as 1st sl st, sl st in next flo*, repeat *-* 7 more times. (8 ch-12) Round 3: Continue with color 2. {Sc2, hdc3, dc4, picot-3, dc4, hdc3, sc2} in every ch-12 (jump straight from last sc on one petal to the first sc on next petal) (8 petals) The petals will turn a bit look 3D alike. The square is made behind the flower. At start the square might seem skewed, due to one skipped stitch after each corner. This will straighten out on last rounds. Rounds 4-10 Smokey Quartz rounds Black Onyx.

4 Round 4: Smokey Quartz. Back loops only. Start in any stitch, dc2 in every blo (16 dc) Round 5: *Dc in next 4 st, ch3, dc in same st as last dc*, repeat *-* 3 more times (20 dc + 4 ch-3) Round 6: *Dc in next 4 st, {dc2, ch3, dc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner)*, repeat *-* 3 more times (32 dc + 4 ch-3) Round 7: Dc in next 6 st, {dc2, ch3, dc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner), *dc in next 7 st, {dc2, ch3, dc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner)*, repeat *-* 2 more times, sk next st, dc in last st (44 dc + 4 ch-3)

5 Round 8: Dc in next 8 st, {dc2, ch3, dc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner), *dc in next 10 st, {dc2, ch3, dc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner)*, repeat *-* 2 more times, skip next st, dc in last 2 st (56 dc + 4 ch-3) Note that stitches numbers of stitches in corners are different from now on. Round 9: Hdc in next 10 st, {hd2c, ch2, hdc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner), *hdc in next 13 st, {hdc2, ch2, hdc2} in ch-3, sk next st (hidden after the corner)*, repeat *-* 2 more times, skip next st, hdc in last 3 st (68 hdc + 4 ch-2) On next round, place the petals pointing to each side of the corners. Round 10: *Hdc in next 8 st, hdc in 2nd st of picot-3 on petal next st on square, hdc in next 3 st, {hdc2, ch2, hdc2} in ch-2, sk next hidden st, hdc in next 3 st, hdc in 2nd st of picot- 3 on petal next st on square*, repeat *-* 3 more times, fasten off (80 hdc + 4 ch-2) Front post trebles are made on next 2 rounds. The stitch behind fptr is skipped, but difficult to distinguish, therefore count stitches carefully. Make fptr tight. Round 11: Black Onyx. Start in same stitch as last st on rnd 10. *Hdc in next 9 st, yo twice, insert hook behind petal, fptr, sk next st on square (behind fptr), hdc in next 4 st, {hdc2, ch2, hdc2} in ch-2, skip next st, hdc in next 4 st, yo twice, insert hook behind petal, fptr, sk next st on square (behind fptr)*, repeat *-* 3 more times (84 hdc + 8 fptr + 4 ch-2) Note! If square is to be used separately, exchange fptr for fpdc on round 12. Round 12: *Hdc in next 10 st, fptr around fptr on pr rnd, sk next st (behind fptr), hdc in next 5 st, {hdc2, ch2, hdc2} in ch-2, sk next st, hdc in next 5 st, fptr around fptr on pr rnd, sk next st*, repeat *-* 3 more times (96 hdc + 8 fptr + 4 ch-2)

6 Joining squares Before joining, block your squares. Place the squares according to the scheme below (numbers on top by the flower quares). Row 1: 3, 2, 4, 1 Row 2: 4, 1, 3, 2 Row 3: 2, 3, 1, 4 Row 4: 1, 4, 2, 3 Row 5: 3, 2, 4, 1 Row 6: 4, 1, 3, 2 Use Black Onyx flat slip stitch join with loose tension for joining (flat sl st = insert hook from top into back loops only make a slip stitch). Flat sl st in every st, but stop 1-2 stitches before fptr insert hook behind fptr away from you then behind fptr closest to you, make a sl st. Fptr are supposed to have a slight leaning to either left or right (important for the border heart ). Skip 1 st behind every fptr continue making sl st. After joining, fpst petals form heart bows. Border Note that changes between fpdc fptr can appear from round to round. Round 1: Black Onyx. Sc in every stitch, {sc, ch2, sc} in every ch-2 in corners (do not skip the hidden st). Adjust numbers of stitches if necessary. A total of 28 sc on each side of one single square, adjust numbers if necessary. (568 sc + 4 ch-2 in corners)

7 Fpst will be made as on previous rounds, with the difference that fpst leaning to the right, starts 2 st before fpst on pr rnd. Count stitches between fpst, to make sure stitches are made right. Note that the skipped stitch behind the right fpst is far behind on pr rnd. Round 2: Pink Quartsize. Start in any corner. {dc2, ch2, dc2} in every corner (ch-2). Dc in leaning to the left: make dc in sc made in fptr on square, make fptr in fptr on square, sk next st (behind fptr), continue with dc in every stitch between fpst leaning to the right: stop 2 st before fptr on square, make fptr in fptr on square, sk next st (note! far behind fptr), continue with dc in every st between fpst (584 st (13 st between every fpst) + 4 ch-2 in corners) Round 3: Smokey Quartz. Start in any corner. {dc2, ch2, dc2} in every corner (ch-2). All single fpst closest to corners are made as pr rnds with fptr. Round 10: Black Onyx. Start between tvo V s /fptr2tog on pr rnd. Sc in every st, except

9 stop 5 st before every V/fptr2tog or single fpst, then sk 2 st, dc4 in same st, sk 1 st, sl st in next st, {hdc, dc, picot-3, dc, hdc} in fptr2tog, sl st in next st, sk 1 st, dc4 in same st, sk 2 st, continue with sc in every st. stop 6 st before every corner, sk 2 st, dc5 in same st, sk 1 st, sl st in next st, sk 1 st, {hdc, dc, tr, picot-3,tr, dc, hdc} in ch-2, sk hidden st, sl st in next st, sk 1 st, dc5 in same st, sk 2 st, continue with sc in every st.
