Please specify when ordering the type of quilting and the application. TYPES OF QUILTING Diamond Quilting Outline Quilting Box Quilting Random Quilting Diamond quilting is a standard diamond size of 5 ½ high by 3 ½ wide. Outline quilting follows the pattern of the fabric. Box quilting is available in sizes from Specify size when ordering. Random quilting is a special design of quilting used for plain fabrics only. CENTURY'S LIABILITY: Unless a specific higher value of a fabric is declared, Century must limit its liability for cutting errors to no more than $50 per yard. Fabric usage can vary for a variety of reasons. Century is not responsible for cost of left-over COM yardage. All Silk fabrics must be backed before they are sent to Century. For assistance in locating a backing service please contact Century Customer Service. Unless customer furnishes written instructions with orders as to application of fabric, our own judgment will be used in applying the fabric. C.O.M. fabric will be cut using the side that is rolled inward as the face side unless the customer specifies otherwise. We cannot assume responsibility for fabric cut on the wrong face unless you have specifically identified it. The responsibility for applicability of fabric or leather to frame rests with you, our dealer. If a fabric is questionable, a cutting of adequate size should be sent to our attention for examination before accepting the order from your customer. PRICING C.O.M. / C.O.L. ORDERS: For most fabrics and leathers, use the C.O.M. price as listed under each style number. For very unusual or difficult fabrics, leathers or pattern applications, however; we reserve the right to quote a higher price. For fabrics with a pattern repeat, the necessary yardage can be found by determining the plain 54 inch yardage and then consulting the table below. Use the plain yardage requirement in the left hand column as your key and look in the appropriate column for the yardage necessary for your particular fabric width and pattern repeat. For fabrics having only one center motif across the width, use 36 column. For fabrics with repeat of 29 or more, contact customer service for quotation. 15 Page 15 COM CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS WORKSHEET If you have specific cutting instructions, please copy this form and attach it to the furniture order that is sent to our sales office. Please sketch for us on a copy of this form how you wish your fabrics, trims, and cords to be applied. We will use our best judgment concerning application of your fabric unless you give us specific cutting instructions. There is certain information that we need to know and which you should keep in mind during this process. 1. If the fabric is a stripe, which way do you wish the stripe to appear - vertical or horizontal? 2. If your fabric is a floral or geometric, please specify the direction of your fabric as it should appear on your furniture. It is sometimes difficult for us to determine which direction a design or motif should lay. 3. Please note on your order the face side of the fabric and attach a properly marked cutting to the order. We will assume that the face side is rolled in unless we are told otherwise. 4. If your fabric is not "railroaded," seaming will be required on long, bench-type cushions. The factory will position these seams at our discretion unless you indicate otherwise. Please see the sketch below for an explanation of the term "railroaded." 17 CONDITIONS OF SALE Our standard practice is to ship all sold orders complete. This means no factory production will begin until all fabrics, leathers, and frames are in stock. If you wish to split ship your order, please specify on your purchase order. Stock orders are normally shipped as ready unless specifically requested to ship complete. TERMS: Net 30, Ex-Factory Hickory, North Carolina Fabric Yardage Orders and Repair Orders - Net 30 Days No cancellations will be accepted after the order has been entered into a production schedule. No returns will be accepted without our authorization. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices listed herein are for payments made within TERMS and submitted by cash, check or electronic transfer. Other forms of payment including credit cards and payment services may carry additional fees. Please contact your Account Credit Representative for specific information. Charges for local repairs will not be accepted unless our prior authorization has been given. Century will not be held responsible for claims for transit damage. These claims should be filed promptly against the carrier involved. Claims against Century Services (Trucking) must be filed within 15 days of delivery. Century does not warrant failures or damage due to nonresidential use and shall not apply to commercial or contract use, acts of nature, including fire, wind and freeze damage, normal fading, any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care, any condition resulting form other than ordinary wear, or from any use for which the product was not designed, misuse, negligence, alteration, abuse, or accidents, mold/mildew, scratching or chipping of paint, routine wear on items such as wheels, glides, moving parts & hardware, natural variations occurring in wood other natural materials, the wearing quality, durability and color-fastness of fabrics or any use of fabric, or damage caused by the carrier in-transit. IN-STORE APPLIED FABRIC TREATMENTS There are many fabric and leather treatments that are being applied after the furniture has been manufactured. We make no judgment on their respective attributes; however, we advise that they be used with care particularly on fabrics or leathers that have already been treated, or on fabrics which rely on a latex or other backing for their stability. We have found that these treatments can cause seam slippage. Since our fabric and leather suppliers deny any responsibility for a fabric or leather if such treatments are applied, we also cannot assume any responsibility in these cases. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations and changes to orders must be confirmed in writing. We cannot accept responsibility for verbal only cancellations. We also cannot accept cancellations after the order has been entered into production. SPECIAL HANDLING - RUSH ORDERS Century will attempt to fill your very urgent rush orders at your request. These orders, however, have to be handled outside of our normal production flow; consequently, there will be a $100 handling charge required per item. Please contact Customer Service for a Rush Quote on orders with over six (6) items. Our ability to handle these rush orders is limited; therefore, we cannot guarantee that we can honor every rush request. All materials must be available at the time your order is placed. Special finishes, quilting or stain resistant treatment will delay production time. FLAMMABILITY REQUIREMENTS Cal 117 is not standard for any orders other than those sold to California accounts. Cal 117 foam is available upon request at the time of order when shipping to California. Cal 133, C.M.H.R., and British Flammability are options on most Century upholstered Frames. MEASUREMENT TERMINOLOGY Approximate dimensions for all of our styles are provided in our catalogue; however, if a dimension of a frame is highly critical for your intended use, please check with the factory. Dimensions are occasionally changed as we make modifications to our frames in order to improve their appearance or seating comfort. Please note that on loose pillow back sofas and chairs, the overall height is the measurement of the highest point, which is generally the top of the loose pillow back.
