1 Bengali Babees Holi Babee Pattern set includes patterns for babee, bib and yoga mat. When made with the specified yarns and hook sizes, the babee measures 16 inches L and 18 inches around belly, with a sitting height of 11 inches, bib measures 3 inches L x 3 1/4 inches W and yoga mat measures 13 inches L x 8 inches W. The babee and bib patterns are crocheted in the amigurumi style of continuous rounds beginning from a double yarn loop. Marking the last stitch of rounds with a small length of yarn or a safety pin will help you to keep track. Much enjoyment to you in creating these patterns.

Weave in all ends, with the long sport yarn length, weave in around white perimeter of bib to give it strength and stop any curling, weave in the accent color ends across back of flat top to give that a little extra stiffness. Press flat between hands for a minute or two if necessary to block. Yoga Mat Use K hook and two bright yarn colors held together. Pattern worked lengthwise. 9 Assembly (You may find arm and leg placement easier if you stuff the body first, and then pin the limbs to the body, remove stuffing from the body before beginning to sew limbs on.) Stuff hands/arms and pin to either side of body near neck opening, pointing fingers upward and thumbs towards the body, sew each on. Stuff feet/legs and pin to body on either side of front under belly area on the bottom of body, pointing toes upward, sew each on. Stuff body, rounding out belly but not so firm that the stitches stretch out, stuff neck area so it is firm enough to keep head up. Pin on head, centering face with body, sew on, keeping enough neck width around base of head (and adding small amounts of stuffing as you go, if necessary) so head doesn't flop over.
