How to select the Power Source for your Sunnen Portable Hone. Sunnen Portable Hones may be driven by a heavyduty electric drill, air drill, or drill press. 13 Piloted Portable Hones Use to hone one bore le with another bore on the same axis. Three models cover the diameter range of 44,5-5,4 (1.75"-21"). AN-8-A40X Piloted Portable Hone Diameter Range: (2.50"-21") The SN X and JN X Piloted Portable Hones are furnished with a 25,4 (1") diameter pilot bar. The AN-8- A40X is furnished with a 8,1 (1-1/2") diameter pilot bar. The pilot bar must be long enough so that it will not stroke out of the pilot bushg durg the hong operation. BE SURE TO SPECIFY PILOT LENGTH BAR on your order. The pilot bushg is made by the user. It must be made to fit the bore before and after hong. The bushg O.D. should be tapered to fit the bore opposite the bore beg honed. The bushg l.d. should be,025 (.001") larger than the diameter of the pilot on the hone.
