2 impact 2017 As the leader of the Colorado Bioscience Association, and an appreciative Coloradoan, the continued successes of our industry make me feel proud everyday. Not only are we creating valuable, well-paying jobs in our gorgeous state, but the work you are doing gives patients, families, and friends hope. Lives are being impacted for the better, forever was again a successful year for the industry in Colorado. Financings surpassed a billion dollars, two additional public life science companies joined our ranks, partnerships were launched or expanded, and new products receiving approval were introduced onto the market. It has also been a fun year. We loved sharing and celebrating the rich stories of our companies and their leadership in our Breakthrough Profiles campaign, which has garnered an influential national audience. We look forward to continuing to raise the bar for Colorado, for our bioscience industry and improving lives all across the world. 5 Staff meet the April Giles President & CEO April has two children, Ella (13) and Nathan (10). She is a Colorado native who enjoys skiing and rooting for the Colorado Rapids. Jennifer Jones Vice President Jennifer is a Colorado native who in her free time enjoys hiking, skiing and spending time with friends and family. Tracey Nilson Director of Partnerships Tracey was born and raised in Colorado. She spends her free time at concerts, snowboarding, and keeping her two dachshunds out of mischief. Steve Ambriz Director of Administrative Services Steve is a serious foodie. He loves traveling and exploring the local cuisine. He is fluent in Spanish and Russian and enjoys flamenco. Benn Stebleton Communications and Marketing Manager Benn is an artist who has sold work across the country. He is also very involved in the local animal rescue community.
