CPAs & Council Member, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs Ms. Mabel Chan is the founder of Mabel Chan & Co, Certified Public Accountants (Practicing). Ms. Chan has over 20 years experience in professional accounting field in Hong Kong. She holds a master degree of business administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Ms. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant (Practicing) in Hong Kong, and an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. 2 Profile of moderator Mr. Raymond Cheng Managing Partner, HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng & Council Member, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs Mr. Raymond Cheng is the Managing Partner of HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng, Hong Kong and Council member of HLB International. Mr. Cheng specializes in providing IPO advisory and regulatory compliance for financial services industry. Mr. Cheng has been elected Council Member of the HKICPA since 2010 and serves as member of various committees in the HKICPA since He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Ethics Committee, the Convenor of the SMP Leadership Panel, and he is a Committee member of the Governance Committee, a member of the Audit Profession Reform Working Group and a panel member of the Professional Standards Monitoring Expert Panel. Mr. Cheng is also the Technical Advisor to the SMP Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). In his capacity as SMPLP Convenor and Deputy Chair of the Ethics Committee, Mr. Cheng involves closely in dealing with issues facing practicing accountants on Ethics and the adoption of the Code of Ethics both internationally and in Hong Kong.

3 Profile of moderator Ms. Susanna Chiu, MH FCPA Director, Li & Fung Development (China) Limited & Immediate Past President, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs Ms. Susanna Chiu has over twenty years of professional experience, including audit, accounting, IS (information systems) audit and controls review, software consulting, system implementation, business management and operations experience. Ms. Chiu graduated with Class 1 Honors in Economics and holds an Executive MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from England, a qualified CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and China CPA. Ms. Chiu is the Immediate Past President and a member of various committees of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, and the past president of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (China Hong Kong Chapter). Ms. Chiu has been contributing continuously in community services and voluntary sectors for many years. She was awarded the medal of honour by the Hong Kong chief executive for her dedicated public service, particularly her contribution to the accounting profession on 1 July She was also awarded one of the ten nationwide Chinese Women of Achievement award in the UK in 1991 as a result of her significant contribution in community services in England. Ms. Chiu also serves on various government appointments for the Equal Opportunities Commission, the Council of the Hong Kong Institute of Education, and the Standard Working Hours Committee. She is also appointed in the China People's Political Consultative Conference ( 政協 ) of the 10th Shaanxi Province and Shanghai Minheng District Committee.

4 Profile of moderator Mr. Dennis Ho is the Vice President of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has over 20 years extensive experience in providing assurance and transaction-related services as well as in assisting companies in preparing for listing in Hong Kong, Singapore and other stock exchanges. Mr. Ho is frequently involved in advising and assisting local, mainland-based and multinational companies on corporate restructuring, transactions, mergers and acquisitions. 5 Profile of moderator Mr. Ronald Kung Director, irregular Consulting Limited & Vice President, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs Mr. Ronald Kung is a serial entrepreneur after his training in audit and corporate finance areas. Before he started his own business, he pursued his professional career with Grant Thornton, KPMG, Securities and Futures Commission. He was also an Executive Director of a listed investment company and quit when he prepared to run for the Legco. His first entrepreneurial project was a dot-com venture and subsequently sold his stake to a listed company. Now his business covers investment buy-side a private equity, on serving listed companies an investor relations firm, a traditional consulting arm, and three chic and trendy coffee shops. Apart from that, he is currently a columnist on HKEJ as well. Mr. Kung got his MSc from HKUST. He is a FCPA in accounting, and a licensed SCAA-CQI Q-Grader in coffee. He is a snowboarder, a diver, a sailer, and recently a motorcyclist.

Mr. Poon is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, CPA Australia and CFA Institute. Mr. Poon is currently the Convenor of Young Members Group, Deputy Convenor of Small and Medium Practitioners Leadership Mr. Gary Poon Principal, Poon & Co. Panel, and a member of various Committees of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). 8 Ms. Lorraine Cheung Tax Partner, EY Ms. Lorraine Cheung is a tax partner in EY, she is an experienced advisor on Hong Kong, China and regional taxation matters for over 15 years. Ms. Cheung graduated with a bachelor degree in business administration at the Chinese University of HK. She joined EY s Hong Kong office at 1998 where she specialized in practicing HK tax. In 2005, she was awarded the British Chevening Scholarship by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to further her MBA study at Imperial College, London. After returning from her study, she has chosen to second to EY Shenzhen office as a resident manager. Ms. Cheung has substantial experience, profound knowledge and special insights on local, international and commercial aspect of the operations of the taxation systems.

Experience Mr. Kwong first started his career in the audit division of a Big Four firm in Hong Kong and then joined Deloitte s Financial Advisory Services after 5 years. 11 Mr. Rainier Lam is a former Partner and currently a senior adviser of the Business Recovery Services Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong. Mr. Lam has over 25 years of experience in liquidation and insolvency work including compulsory liquidations, creditors' voluntary liquidations and receiverships. Mr. Lam also advises banks and corporate clients on insolvency issues and participates in corporate reorganisation schemes aiming to streamline the group structure and save costs. He has also acted as court-appointed administrator of estates, and has been advising clients on estate related matters. Assisting a major bank in monitoring the financial operation of a hotel pledged to the bank by a substantial borrower. The work involved reviewing and overseeing the cash flow and control aspects of the hotel. Supervising and monitoring the liquidation of a listed group of companies engaged mainly in property development. Total realisation of the group is in excess of HK$500 million. Acting as liquidator of a much publicised liquidation of a Hong Kong security brokerage with over 6,000 active clients. Winding up a garment factory with over 500 employees, involved in dealing with the secured bank creditor, employees' claims and realisation of assets including the company's factory building, plant and equipment and stocks. Winding up a garment manufacturer with factories in Zhongshan, PRC, closely involved in negotiation with local government officials in Zhongshan and reaching a settlement with them regarding disposition of the factories. 12 Mr. Alan Lee is an Executive Director in EY and the Hong Kong service line leader of information security and data privacy. Mr. Lee has been advising clients of various industries on data protection, information security and data privacy issues, leading IT security risk assessments and audits, threat vulnerability risk assessment, privacy advisory projects and implementing enterprise wide privacy governance programmes. His works involve carrying out forensic fact finding investigations, providing support to clients and their legal advisors involved in dispute or potential dispute situations and advising clients in the areas of remediation, compliance and fraud risk mitigation. Mr. Mak has over 15 years of experience in assurance, regulatory and fraud investigation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mak worked at Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong Police and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx). 18 Mr. Samuel Wan Manager, KPMG Mr. Samuel Wan joined KPMG in He has experience in various types of insolvency administrations, capital restructuring engagement and exit strategy advisory services. Prior to joining KPMG, Mr. Wan worked in the investment banking and commercial banking sectors. Currently, Mr. Wan is working on the liquidation of multinational investment banks and brokerage firms, including the court liquidation of Lehman Brothers Hong Kong MF Global Hong Kong Limited. He is managing the distressed financial assets of the companies, including their listed derivatives, over-the-counter derivatives and listed equities worldwide. Mr. Wan has also provided exit strategy advisory services to international brokerage firms and capital restructuring services to listed companies.

19 Ms. Katy Wong Partner, Forensics, KPMG Ms. Katy Wong started her career with KPMG in 1996 and joined the Forensic practice in She is currently the lead partner of the fraud prevention and investigation services across Hong Kong and Southern China. Ms. Wong has extensive experience in leading financial fraud investigations involving misstatement of financial accounts, bribery and corruption for financial institutions, private sectors and listed multinationals across a variety of industries and jurisdictions in Asia Pacific. She has also conducted numerous forensic due diligence and fraud risk assessment engagements for various publicly held multinational companies and private equity firms on their investments in China. She also oversees the royalty review and channel partners review programmes for a number of large multinational electronics companies in the Asia Pacific which help clients to identify significant recoveries from misreporting. In addition, Ms. Wong is one of the steering committee members of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Forensic Interest Group.

20 Mr. Tony Wong joined the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) as Assistant Assessor in 1991 and assumed his present post of Chief Assessor (Appeals) in June Mr. Tony Wong Chief Assessor (Appeals), Inland Revenue Department, HKSARG Throughout his more than 20 years of service in IRD, Mr. Wong has been working in a number of positions relating to: tax assessments of individuals in the Individuals Tax Unit and of multi-national banks in Financial Institutions Section of the Profits Tax Unit; field audit and tax investigation with particular focus on tackling aggressive tax planning and tax avoidance; and tax appeals which involve the handling of objections and representing the Commissioner in appeal cases before the Board of Review, and instructing Counsel before the High Court and the Court of Final Appeal in tax litigations. Prior to taking up his current position, he was working in Technical Research Section of the Commissioner s Unit conducting tax researches on various aspects of the Hong Kong tax system and international taxation. He had been involved in a number of Inland Revenue amendment bills, covering areas of policy formulation through their enactment and implementation. Also, Mr. Wong had been an interviewer in recruiting professional grade officers for IRD.
