1 COUNCIL AGENDA 1/10/17 ITEM 2 14 CITY OF SANjOSE CAPITAL OF SILICON VALLEY Memorandum TO: CITY COUNCIL FROM: Mayor Sam SUBJECT: SEE BELOYY DATE: January 10, 2017 / - >o -> 9 SUBJECT^REPLACEMENT MEMORANDUM REGARDING CITY COUNCIL COMMITTfeES^BdARDS AND COMMISSIONS APPOINTMENTS REASON FOR REPLACEMENT Due to various conflicts with Councilmembers' schedules, committees, boards and commissions appointments have been reassigned. RECOMMENDATION 1. Apprise the Council of the Mayor's Appointments for each of the standing committees, as described in Exhibit "A" of this Memorandum. 2. Appoint the following councilmembers to each of the committees and assignments, as described in Exhibit "B" of this Memorandum. DISCUSSION The following provides my appointments to Committees and Commissions for Per City Charter, the Council shall elect a Vice Mayor at our January 24 th meeting; changes to Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" may occur at that time. The City Council's approval of the "Smart City Vision" included approval of a new Standing Committee focused on implementation of the Vision and will begin meeting in February 2017.
