Many lenders have become more aggressive for new originations as they have been searching for yield in a low interest rate environment, driven in large part by Federal stimulus. Life insurance companies have significant amounts of capital available primarily for fixed rate deals and are projected to originate in excess of $50 billion in CMBS lenders sold nearly $50 billion in 2012 and expect to securitize $75 billion + in There also continues to be strong and increasing interest from National and Regional Domestic U.S., Asian and Canadian banks with slower demand from European banks.
