Rea Federal Circuit (2013) At the Federal Circuit, Bill secured a reversal of a finding by the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences that a patent covering LEO Pharma s topical antipsoriatic medication Taclonex was obvious. Applying the substantial evidence standard of review, the appellate panel noted that LEO Pharma s burden was a challenging one, but determined that Bill and his team had met it.
