1 JO-ANN SCHARMANN Chief Financial Officer Mile High United Way Jo is Chief Financial Officer at Mile High United Way, a leading nonprofit organization in the metro Denver community. Mile High United Way partners with hundreds of local nonprofits, government agencies, policy-makers and businesses to provide programs and investments that ensure students are thriving in school, young people are graduating prepared for the workforce or college, and families have every opportunity for economic success. As a member of the senior leadership team, Jo is instrumental in helping shape Mile High United Way s strategic and operating plan. She leads the Finance, Human Resources, Technology, Facilities and Events teams. Previously, Jo was Vice President, Finance and Transformation, at Western Union, a Fortune 500 global leader in payments and financial services, as well as a 2014 Ashoka Executive in Residence and Treasurer and Director of the Western Union Foundation. Prior to joining Western Union, Jo was Chief Financial Officer at Family Tree, a nonprofit organization working to create lasting solutions to domestic violence, child abuse and homelessness in Denver. In this role, Jo led the Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Technology and Facilities teams. In earlier positions, Jo was Vice President, Finance at First Data Corporation, a Fortune 200 global corporation, and held a position for 10 years within Corporate and Commercial Finance at Western Union.. Jo holds an MBA Degree in Finance, from Loyola University and a B.S. Degree from James Madison University. She served as an Executive Mentor to MBA candidates at the University of Denver and is a founding member of the Making A Difference (MAD) Community organization. She volunteers for Family Tree, Open World Learning and Hunger Free Colorado.

2 WENDY RUBIN, ED.D. Superintendent Englewood Schools Dr. Wendy Rubin serves as superintendent of Englewood Schools and has great passion for her work as an educational leader. She has a heart for strong communities, strong academics, and strong public schools. Wendy believes that the promise and opportunity that dedicated teachers and committed neighborhood schools offer each and every child is foundational to ensuring that students graduate with robust choices for college and career pathways. Wendy received Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, her Masters of Education degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from the University of Illinois Chicago, and her doctoral degree from the University of Colorado Denver in the area of Leadership for Educational Equity. Earlier in her career, she was a middle school teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Prior to accepting the position of superintendent of Englewood Schools she served as principal of Chatfield Senior High in Jefferson County. Among other opportunities she has been an executive board member of the Colorado Association of Secondary School Principals, an adjunct professor at University of Colorado Denver, and has testified at the state level on key educational policy issues. Wendy and her husband Lance live in Centennial with their two daughters, Scarlett and Stella. They are very busy with swim meets, soccer games, band concerts and all of the other great activities that having two middle school-aged daughters brings!

3 STACY DUDA Manager, Sales & Operations Planning MillerCoors Stacy Duda s professional career is heavily entrenched in supply chain operations. She started off as a quality engineer and production supervisor at the Blue Bird Bus Company. She spent a few years at Apple Computer as an operations program manager and joined MillerCoors in Since her start at MillerCoors, Stacy has filled various roles from planning management to enabling World Class Manufacturing efforts and currently leading the MillerCoors Sales and Operations Planning process. She has served as the MillerCoors women s employee resource group president since Stacy has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, an M.B.A. from Stanford and is APICS certified. When she s not doing cool supply chain stuff Stacy loves hanging out in tropical locations with her husband and 3 year old and reading murder mysteries.

4 SANDY CHRISMAN Ms. Colorado Woman of Achievement 2015 Sandy Chrisman is currently the reigning Ms. Colorado Woman of Achievement Sandy is perusing her dual degree in forensic psychology, her bachelor degree/masters at Walden University in Forensic Psychology. She received three additional qualifications to become a certified fraud examiner. She remarried a very supportive and loving husband, to whom she has been married to for 18 years. Sandy competed in the Mrs. Colorado Pageant representing Mrs. Jefferson County After being abused for over 20 years, Sandy and her husband created a non-profit organization called First Steps Outreach LLC. This organization serves victims of domestic violence and children being bullied. When shelters are full, the organization helps find a hotel for victims to stay in for up to three nights. Back when Sandy had nowhere to go because her husband shut down all of her credit cards, she reached out to a hotel and explained her situation. The hotel extended to her a room in at no charge for a few nights to be safe. Sandy plans to use the pageant as a stepping stone to further help victims of domestic violence. She strongly believes that this entire experience is nothing short of a miracle and will use it as a gift that she can pass onto others. Sandy and her husband have 5 children, all but two are grown. Sandy and her family reside in Colorado.

5 IRENA MILOSEVIC Former Family Tree Client/Survivor Home Advisor Born in Yugoslavia (currently Serbia), Irena Milosevic moved to Greece, and settle in the US in Irena works as a Home Advisor, and has over 17 years of sales experience. Irena is a survivor of domestic violence, and a former Family Tree client. After losing her home, financial security, selfesteem and even the possibility of her Serbian community (due to cultural beliefs), Irena mad the difficult decision to enter the Family Tree emergency residential facility, Women In Crisis. With the assistance of the other wrap-around services at Family Tree, Irena found the strength to create lasting, positive change for herself and her children. Irena was a 2015 Family Tree Celebration of Achievement recipient - an award dedicated to former clients that have made great strides in their lives and have overcome the many challenges of domestic violence or homelessness. A proud mom of three, Irena has an 18 year old attending CU Boulder, a 17 year old currently in the middle of publishing her own poems and a 12 year old son in middle school. Irena says her children are her inspiration, and is amazed by their resilience. Irena enjoys singing, but only in Serbian, she likes to point out; spending time with her children; and relaxing with a good book. Irena wants everyone to know how much she loves her life, her new-found confidence and has a great love for America. My kids would never have this kind of chance in any other country!

6 DENISE PLANTE Host and Radio Personality Colorado&Company/KOSI Denise Plante brings energy, fun and grace to the successful magazine television talk show "Colorado and Company." She has hosted the award-winning show since its debut on September 13, Denise has also hosted two MTV specials, many national commercial/infomercials and is the voice of KTVD/MY20 in Denver. Denise Plante is an Emmy Award winning, talented, upbeat, television and radio on-air personality She is also the Denver Correspondent for Extra TV. She starts her day by waking up Denver with a smile as co-host of the very popular "Murphy & Denise Morning Show" from 5-9 am on KOSI Denver's #1 Women s age s A/C radio station. Known as Denver's "Disorganized Diva," Denise entertains with fun, life stories and pop culture news during "Denise's Daily Dirt." She's been in radio for 25 years, 19 of those years right here in Denver. Denise is very involved in the community and emceeing many charity events. The work really begins for Denise when she tries to find her way all over Denver in order to take her two boys (ages 16 & 13), to their hockey, basketball and football games. Denise lives in Castle Rock with her husband of 21 years, Mike. 7 JENNIPHER TURNER Former Family Tree Client/Survivor Born and raised in Colorado, Jennipher is the epitome of a native: motivated, strong and family-oriented. Jennipher is a survivor of domestic violence and child abuse. From early on, Jennipher has experienced violence that most cannot imagine. When Jennipher first entered the Family Tree emergency residential facility, Women In Crisis, she faced many hurdles including a low self-worth, a lack of resources and no home for herself or her children. With the assistance of Family Tree services and staff, Jennipher blossomed and found the courage to tackle every stumbling block that came her way. While still a Family Tree client, Jennipher found housing, got a raise at her job and found stability for her children. The staff at Family Tree has nothing but wonderful things to say about Jennipher and her strength. Jillian DeCorte, a Family Tree housing case worker, found Jennipher to be inspiring, She was able to stay composed when most people would break down and give up. And, now Jennipher is empowered and self-reliant. Like her good friend and past Family Tree client, Irena Milosevic, Jennipher was also a 2015 Family Tree Celebration of Achievement recipient - an award dedicated to former clients that have made great strides in their lives and have overcome the many challenges of domestic violence or homelessness. Jennipher is the mother of four, ages 13, 9, 5 and 2. Jennipher currently works two jobs, attends school and is working towards going to law school. She is even starting her own non-profit for domestic violence victims. To say she is busy is an understatement, but Jennipher always has the time to enjoy the small but meaningful things in life: a giggle, a warm smile and conversations with her teenager.
