1 2019 From President Joe. Greetings gentlemen! I think the warmer temps are right around the corner. I wanted to thank Bill Zimmerman for his informative presentation on the Chrysler building, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building. We had 5 members attend the movie matinee showing of Serial Mom on the 23rd at the home of Charles Hauser. I always forget what a hoot that movie is. We will hold our board member election at the April meeting, along with our annual Easter egg hunt. Normally George Maihafer host the group at his home in May but he is out of town the 3rd weekend in May so we are moving the meeting up to the 2nd Sunday. Please make a note of that on your calendar. Until we meet again, please take care of yourselves! Sincerely, Joe Davis
2 Board Meeting Minutes Sunday, March 3rd, 2019 The regular monthly board meeting of the Tidewater Prime Timers was held at the home of Woody Norvell on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019 at 4:00 pm. In attendance were Joe Davis, Bill Zimmerman, Woody Norvell, Michael Gordon, Joe Amos and Scott Wyatt. The minutes of the preceding meeting were read, amended and approved. The treasurer report was read and approved, we have 94 members. Jerry Pierpont has been dropped from membership. Ron Green does not wish to continue as vice president of the club. We will ask for nominations at the March general meeting, which will feature a presentation by Bill Zimmerman on 3 of the great Art Deco buildings in Manhattan: the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. A laptop & projector will be required for that meeting, as well as the customary blackout curtains. One of the Joes will look into that. Jimmy will pick up the birthday cake for the March meeting. Charles Hauser will host a movie night on March 23rd. Title to be determined. The board decided to forego having a booth at the annual Out In The Park event, since we so rarely get any new members for our efforts. We will try again in Hampton Roads Pride is hosting a mixer at M.J. s on Monday evening, March 4 from 6 to 8 pm. The general meeting in April will feature the annual Easter Egg Hunt, for which the Joes will get some assorted treats (NOT the 2-legged variety!) The Joes will host the April board meeting; Michael Gordon will host the one in May. The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 pm. Respectfully submitted, Woody Norvell, secretary
