Molly McCammon is Executive Director of the Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS), a coalition of government, academic and private partners working to integrate ocean data and provide better information for users. Previously she served for a decade as Executive Director of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council, administering the billion- dollar restoration fund. McCammon has also worked as a natural resource policy specialist for Alaska s governor, state legislature and department of fish and game. Molly received a B.A. in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. Brad Warren is the Director at Global Ocean Health, a joint (OA) initiative of the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership and the National Fisheries Conservation Center. He wrote and consulted for National Fisherman Journal from 1981 to 1996 and later became editor and publisher of Pacific Fishing from He has served as an advisor and consultant on resource management to the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service and the U.N. Food and Agricultural Organization. Brad proposed and served on Washington State s Blue Ribbon Panel on Ocean Acidification in 2012 and was appointed in 2013 to the newly formed Ocean Acidification International Reference User Group.

Dr. Shallin Busch is a physiological ecologist, whose current research focuses on how ocean acidification may impact North Pacific ecosystems. For the past eight years, Shallin worked for NOAA, first for the Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle and then for the Ocean Acidification Program and National Marine Fisheries Service at NOAA's headquarters. In 2012, she served on the Washington State Blue Ribbon Panel on Ocean Acidification. Shallin received a doctorate in Zoology from the University of Washington and an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. Jeremy Mathis is an Adjunct Professor of Chemical Oceanography at UAF School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. He is the Director of the Ocean Acidification Research Center and Supervisor Oceanographer at NOAA. He has been a member of the steering group for the North American Carbon Program, led the NACP subgroup for the Arctic Ocean and the Bering Sea, and served on the Arctic Icebreaker Coordinating Committee

(AICC). Dr. Mathis served a three- year term on The Ocean Carbon and Biogeochemistry (OCB) scientific steering committee, and co- chaired the ocean acidification sub- committee. He holds a Ph.D. in Oceanography from University of Miami and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from McNeese State University. Bob Foy is the Director for the NOAA laboratory in Kodiak and Program Manager for the Shellfish Assessment Program at the NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center. He earned his B.S. in Biology at the University of Michigan and his M.S. in Fisheries and PhD. in Oceanography from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Dr. Foy was then on the University of Alaska faculty until moving to NOAA Fisheries in His research has focused on predator- prey interactions in marine food webs and more recently on crab biology and ecology in the eastern Bering Sea. Thomas Hurst is a Research Fisheries Biologist with the NOAA- NMFS Alaska Fisheries Science Center in the Fisheries Behavioral Ecology Program located at Oregon State University s Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, OR. He earned a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. His M.S. and

Ph.D. on the recruitment and ecology of overwintering Hudson River striped bass were done at Stony Brook University in New York. His research is now focused on species of commercial importance in Alaska: walleye Pollock, Pacific cod, northern rock sole, and Pacific halibut. Steve Colt is Professor of Economics at the Institute of Social and Economic Research at UAA. He has been with ISER since His research is focused on energy, ecosystem services, and sustainable development in Alaska. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999 and a B.A. in Economics from Williams College in Wiley Evans is a Research Associate in the Carbon Program at the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, and in the University of Alaska Fairbanks Ocean Acidification Research Center. His research is directed towards understanding the marine carbon cycle from mid- to high latitudes. In addition, he is developing the capacity for shellfish hatcheries to track corrosive ocean conditions using novel CO2 systems. Wiley Evans is a member of the North American Carbon Program Arctic Ocean and West Coast

subgroups. He is an Oregon State University and College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences alumnus. Jessica is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Ocean Acidification Research Center and affiliated with the Eco- FOCI Program at the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory. Her research focuses on complex carbonate biogeochemistry and the synergistic interactions between sources of natural variability and anthropogenic stressors. Dr. Cross is affiliated with the International Arctic Science Committee (Pacific Arctic Group), the Ocean Carbon Biogeochemistry (OCB) Group of the US Carbon Cycle Science Program, and the Association for Women in Science. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from UAF, 2013 and a B.S. in Chemistry from Rhodes College, 2008.

Lauren grew up in Chicago, and received a BA in environmental geology from Colgate University and an MS in environmental policy from the Bard Center for Environmental Policy. Lauren is interested in understanding vulnerability in the Arctic environment, and determining the best way to translate scientific concepts for policy makers and the general public. In 2013, she conducted a survey to better understand public perceptions of ocean acidification in Alaska for the Ocean Acidification Research Center (OARC). Lauren likes to spend her time skiing, kayaking, and backpacking through any and every kind of environment. Rachel is the Working Waterfronts Program Director for the Alaska Marine Conservation Council. She is currently working on the research project The Graying of the Fleet, where she is studying the barriers young fishermen face when entering the fishing business. She completed her undergrad at the University of Montana and earned a Ph.D. in Socio- Cultural Anthropology from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

Since receiving his degree in shellfish biology from the University of Washington in 1981 Bill Dewey has worked for over thirty years as a shellfish farmer in Washington State. He is Manager of Public Policy and Communications for Taylor Shellfish Farms and owns and operates his own manila clam farm in Samish Bay. He serves on a number of boards and committees locally and nationally including the Board of Directors of the National Aquaculture Association, the Pacific Shellfish Institute and the National Ocean Council s Ocean Research Advisory Panel. He was recently appointed to serve on the Washington Marine Resources Advisory Council (MRAC) advising the state on its ocean acidification response.
