Deliver FIRST-rate, friendly service in an accurate and timely manner. Take ownership and make you our FIRST priority. Identify your financial needs FIRST and provide you with trustworthy and value-added solutions. Make a FIRST-rate finanical difference in our members lives. Keep our FIRST-rate facilities clean and operational to ensure your experience is pleasant. OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS ACHIEVING YOUR FINANCIAL DREAMS The First Financial Member Experience Defining Your Dream Goals and Lifestyle Empowering You Through Financial Education Building Your Wealth Planning Your Retirement Managing Your Risk
3 REPORT FROM ISSA E. STEPHAN, CCUE President and Chief Executive Officer At First Financial, our primary commitment is to assist you with your financial dreams every time you bank with us. Together, we can shape your goals and budget in order to achieve the lifestyle you want. We bolster your accomplishments through financial education, building your wealth, planning your retirement, and managing your risk. All our members are valued as a credit union, we exist to aid you with all of your financial needs. In 2015, First Financial proudly stood tall with success, both planned and realized. Our Freehold/Howell Service Center opened in early February and held its official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on April 28th. Our Grand Opening Week and family picnic allowed us to celebrate with you, awarding a variety of Six Flags Great Adventure passes to our Grand Prize winners, as well as a custom First Financial surfboard to another lucky member. The new branch serves as the primary banking location for approximately a quarter of our membership and will ultimately be joined by our new corporate headquarters in the Spring of We introduced 1 Click Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) in 2015 as an added feature to our mobile application for Apple and Android users. 1 Click allows members to deposit checks without having to step foot in a branch by simply taking a photo of the check you wish to deposit. We also brought EMV chip technology to our Visa Platinum Credit Card to ensure security and prevent fraud each time you use your card. Our first-ever television commercial, featuring the 2% Auto Loan Challenge, aired on News 12 New Jersey, as well as the Discovery Channel, History Channel, Weather Channel, Travel Channel, YES Network, Fox Business News, Headline News, Destination America, Animal Planet, and Hallmark throughout We were very proud to be able to broadcast the credit union as well as the 2% Challenge which was one of our biggest accomplishments for the year, as we were able to save our members a total of $192,488 on their auto loan payments! Focusing on financial education within our membership and the surrounding Monmouth and Ocean County communities, we hosted a Financial Reality Fair at Jackson Liberty High School with support from the New Jersey Credit Union League Foundation in January In May, we held our first LIFE (Learning Independent Financial Education) Financial Reality Fair event for the students at Lakewood High School. While the credit union has hosted Financial Reality Fairs in the past, the LIFE Fair is specifically sponsored and developed by First Financial. During the LIFE Fair, students use handson experiences and real-life scenarios to help prepare them for their financial future. Our credit union puts a high priority on education because it s how First Financial began 80 years ago, with a group of schoolteachers from Asbury Park. It s in our DNA. The First Financial Foundation was proud to award $500 scholarships to four deserving college students in 2015, as well as six $500 classroom grants to local educators. Thanks to the support of our staff and our members, we have been able to make this annual endowment possible. After an eventful year, PSCU Magic Minute winners and long-time members Jim and Meg Ferrell, won a trip to Chicago to participate in a 60-Second Warehouse Dash in December. What an amazing opportunity and way to end the year just in time for the holidays! Thank you for your continued support and membership with us, as well as for choosing us as your one-stopshop for all of your financial needs. As we continue to provide convenient, value-driven banking services, we look forward to a thriving Thank you for Thinking First God Bless! Issa E. Stephan, CCUE, President/CEO Gordon E.
