1 Speaker/Panelist Profiles <Keynote Speaker> Mr. Kenji Toda Chairperson, International Affairs Committee Japan Pharmaceutical manufacturers Association (JPMA) Senior Vice President, Government Relations Eisai Co. Ltd. After graduating from Kyushu University in 1969, Mr. Toda joined the pharmaceutical marketing division of Eisai Co., Ltd. In around 40 years with the firm, he has headed various departments in Eisai Japan as well as in Europe and London affiliates. Mr. Toda has made significant contributions to the company s various sections, including new drug development, corporate regulatory affairs and compliance, quality assurance and product information, among others. Besides heading the government relations and quality assurance departments at Eisai, Mr. Toda has been actively participating in the activities of JPMA and the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) since At present, Mr. Toda is serving as Deputy Director General of IFPMA. <Panelists>

2 Mr. Siva Kumaran Director, Aurobindo Pharma Mr. Umang Vohra Senior Vice President & CFO, Dr. Reddy s Laboratories Ltd. Mr. Vohra heads the finance function across Dr. Reddy's global operations. He has over 13 years of experience in various finance & corporate development functions. Mr. Vohra joined Dr. Reddy s in 2002 from PepsiCo, and has been part of several of the company s key initiatives such as acquisitions, R&D de-risking transactions, as well as operational improvements in accounting, governance and finance processes. Prior to joining Dr. Reddy s, in addition to PepsiCo, Mr. Vohra also worked at Eicher. With a base degree in computer engineering, he has an MBA from the TA Pai Institute of Management (TAPMI), with a specialization in finance.

3 Mr. Sourav Mallik Executive Director M&A, Kotak Investment Banking Mr. Mallik is Executive Director M&A at Kotak Investment Banking, having joined the Kotak Mahindra Group in During his career as an investment banker, he has advised a wide range of clients on their growth strategies as well as M&A and restructuring plans. A specialist in M&A advisory, deal structuring, restructuring, valuations, joint ventures and India entry services, Mr. Malik is also very familiar with the regulatory framework for M&As (including cross-border M&A), open offers, buybacks and delisting offers. He also closely tracks the materials sector.

4 Mr. S. Ramesh Global CFO ( Planning & Finance), Lupin Ltd. Mr. Ramesh heads the planning and finance function globally at Lupin. In addition to being in charge of numbers and forecasting, he is also a member of Lupin s core strategy think-tank, helping to guide the company in global economic and business dynamics, strategy and planning. His negotiation skills, financial & business judgement as well as business forecasting have helped Lupin embark on its inorganic growth strategies and entries into some of the largest pharmaceutical markets in the world. He has scored well on cost and management of funds and has strong incremental reasoning while assessing opportunity cost. Mr. Ramesh has partnered with various businesses in driving cost measures through the company. He has been leading the internal panel which continuously assesses potential for cost rationalization at Lupin.

5 Mr. Koji Ueda Operating Officer - Indian Pharmaceutical Business Otsuka International Asia Arab (OIAA) Division, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. After graduating from Sophia University in Tokyo in 1997, Mr. Ueda joined Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. as medical representative. Since 2002, he has been handling OIAA s business in Asian and Arab countries. After a two-year stint ( ) as president of Thai Otsuka Pharmaceutical, looking after the firm s pharmaceutical business in Thailand, he returned to OIAA to manage the Asia and Arab regions. Since 2009, Mr. Ueda has been leading market research in India, working to penetrate the market at the earliest stage.

6 Mr. Omesh Sethi President and CFO, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. Mr. Sethi is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience in the field of finance & accounts. Prior to his current position, he spent over eight years in the US as the CFO of Ranbaxy USA. Mr. Sethi has made a significant contribution to improving the financial performance of Ranbaxy year after year, by focusing on improving productivity and optimizing cost structures across the entire value chain. With a strong hold on finance, he also guides the various activities of Ranbaxy s M&A department. 7 Tetsuya "Ted" Takada President, TIPharms & Company TIPharms & Company Mr. Takada has 25+ years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including work as an independent consultant helping non-japanese SMEs and start-ups develop into the Japanese market. This work has included B2B business development, including formulation development, supply-chain management, technology transfer, product licensing and divestiture based on regulatory affairs, market trends, sales channels and financial analysis. He has broad, practical experience in working for and consulting companies in Japan, the US and Europe, and is fluent in the similarities and differences in regulatory affairs, customs and business cultures of each.
