5 Advisory Board Advisory Board Meeting FRIDAY, JUNE 15, :30 AM YAWKEY CENTER AT BOSTON COLLEGE 2599 BEACON STREET CHESTNUT HILL, MA There were 153 people in attendance, including 34 voting members. (see attached attendance sheet) Friday, June 15, 2018 YAWKEY CENTER AT BOSTON COLLEGE CHESTNUT HILL, MA 11:30 AM The Chairman welcomed members and guests and called the meeting to order at 12:30 pm. A. APPROVAL OF ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES FOR MAY 17, 2018 A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of May 17, The motion carried. B. ACTION ITEM: NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF AN ADVISORY BOARD REPRESENTATIVE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS The candidate, Andrew Pappastergion, addressed the members and other attendees, acknowledging the presence of the other two Advisory Board representatives to the Board of Directors, John Carroll and Joseph Foti. He noted that the Advisory Board representatives are now the three senior members of the Board of Directors (having served for the longest periods of all the members of the Board), and they work well together. He observed that he was first elected to the Board in 1997, twenty-one years ago, and requested approval to serve another term. Mr. Favaloro noted that the vote for a representative to the Board of Directors is the one vote of the Advisory Board that records the votes as one vote per community represented. (All other votes are by weighted vote.) Mr. Favaloro announced that there was a quorum of voting members in attendance. The Chairman requested a motion calling for the nomination and election of Andrew Pappastergion as a representative to the Board of Directors for a term of three years. The motion was made and seconded. The motion carried. C. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 12:37 pm. It was seconded and passed by unanimous vote.
