8 MANUAL UPDATE 2.0: Accentuation via CC1 When you pull up your modwheel you ll fade in a staccato-tone. This is perfect to end a phrase with a singe staccato-note. When you ve your modwheel in the middle range you will hear an accentuation of the first note of a figure. With this feature you ll bring more energy in your run-lines! How to clear a single slot? Please activate the slot you want to clear. Now, press on the activated articulation-button. After these steps the slot will be empty.

12 OSR 2.0 New instruments - New features RUNS BUILDER 2.0 The new version of our RUNS BUILDER concept is much more flexible. Tempo-wise and scale-wise. To understand how the RUNS BUILDER is working, please read the article about the RUNS BUILDER on page 6. The Scales-Slider This new control-element gives you the possibility to change between different scales the figures will be played. All possible scales are listed in the updated Articulation Chart. Tempo-Mode Slider Every slot has its own tempo-slider. You don t have to change the tempo-slider when you activate a new slot. You can create your own tempo-map. You can choose between original tempo, doubled tempo, halfed tempo and triplets half/ triplets doubled (you can playback the 16th figure as triplets). Tempo fine-adjustments You ll find the tempo fine-adjustments slider directly under the tempo-mode slider. With this slider you ll be able to playback the samples of your activated slot a little bit slower or faster. RUNS TRANSITIONS PATCH 2.0 Our new RUNS TRANSITIONS PATCH 2.0 is completely new recorded and scripted. Please use one of the multi-instruments in the multi-folder of OSR. We divided the string-sections into two groups. We have sampled both of these two groups with interval-transitions up to the fifth, twice for the repetition-mode and in two velocity layers. There is a very huge amount of samples to archive this absolute realistic, smearing runs-effect. Everything will be handled via Kontakt in two instruments controlled by a multi-script. Now, tuning AND timing discrepancies will be added in a very natural way. The tuning-script analyzes the melody. When the melody is running up - the tuning will be lower on a random way. When the melody goes down, the tuning will be higher. The amount of this randomized tuning is controllable via the multi script. Info: The RUNS TRANSITIONS PATCH 2.0 is a monophonic based legato instrument. OSR - MANUAL: 11

13 Repetitions-Mode (placed on multi-script gui) You will find the repetitions-mode buttons on the multi-script gui. There are three different modes: Switch = A/B-Mode. OSR will switch alternately between the A and the B samples. Random = OSR will switch randomly between the A and the B sample. Group-Repetitions = let the first group switch between A/B and the second group A/A/B/B In this mode you ll get 4 round-robins out of two. A great feature the get more realism out of your ostinato-figures Auto De-Tuner (placed on multi-script gui) Here you can assign the amount of de-tuning. The values will be randomly choosen by OSR between 0 and the actual value of this knob. De-Synchronizer (placed on multi-script gui) With the mode buttons placed over the two knobs range and delay you can choose between three different modes: Off = there are no timing discrepancies (no delay on the second group) Fixed = you can assign a static value of delay (for the second group) via the button Delay. Random = The timing discrepancy will be randomly between 0 and the actual value of the Range -knob. legato / non legato button (placed on the single instruments) With this button, you can switch off the natural legato-transitions. This is a good option to end a phrase of a very fast string-line. Imagine a fast ostinato-figure. Maybe you don t want a legato-transition between the last and the first note of an ostinato-figure to archive an accent on the first note. Tipp: You can assign this switch via right-click to a midi-controller. We saved the RTP2-patches with cc1 (modwheel) assigned to the legato-button. MIDI-CC (input fields on the multi-script gui) Midi-controller assignement via midi-learn is not possible on multi-scripts. But you ve the possibility to enter a midi-cc-nr. in the input-fields. These input-fields are placed under the several control-elements (de-tuner, delay-range, fixed delay). You can assign every midi-controller (cc1-127 except cc86,cc87,cc88). Xfade Instruments OSR 2.0 has new velocity Xfade scripts for the included sustain-samples. These are perfect to archive much more realism for the dynamics of long notes. You can fade between the several velocity layer via modwheel (cc1). Measured Short Tremolos Our measured short tremolos are recorded as fast double- and triple notes. Everything is sampled in two repetitions and two tempi. When you play one note, you ll hear two or three repeated tempo-synced notes. You ll hear the measured short tremolos patch will sound much more realistic then two repeated staccato-samples. Try it out! OSR - MANUAL: 12
