ABOUT ME I am an author who creates content for creative business owners, " bloggers, and freelancers." blog >> byregina.com // Pinterest + Twitter + Instagram The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 2
Welcome dear brand owner + new friend. Made this for you to help you define and love your brand. Holla. How to Use This Kit 4 Brand Checklist 5 Brand Loves List 6 Brand Needs List 7 Thought Break #1 8 The Brand Owner Questionnaire 9 The Online Presence Audit 13 My Big Vision 17 Past Me + Future Me 21 Thought Break #2 24 My Action List 25 My Tech + Tools Wish List 28 My Driving Quote or Theme 31 Outro 32 The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 3
how to use this kit.. This is designed as both a fun and thoughtful activity for you to complete during a workcation (which is time you set aside to enjoy your business or passion projects that get your creativity flowing). These pages will help with clarity, with falling deeper (or back) in love with your brand, and with casting the big vision for what you re doing. Here are my recommended steps: pour your favorite bevie (beverage for you non-abbreviators) get comfortable (pajamas recommended) take it seriously but not so seriously that you stress out write thoughtful answers; don t just write down your standard reply ask yourself Have things changed? Is this really how I still feel? answer even the questions that seem silly talk out the answers that surprise you (find a trusted friend, significant other, brand owner, or mentor) tweet me (@byreginatv) about how fun your workcation was when you used this kit think about repeating this process once or twice per year; even if all your answers don t change, merely reminding yourself of your goals and purpose is helpful The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 4
brand checklist.. Though each brand and business will have different needs, below is a list of recommended items for a solid brand and presence. The next two pages will help you pinpoint why you love what you already have and plan out what you still need. main logo signature or secondary logo for social media image watermarks avatar (image of you) or logo formatted for social media profile pics business cards brand colors note cards (for thank you notes and product shipments) website and blog brand fonts social media accounts (that match your brand s purpose and audience) brand statement professional photos of you blog post image template social media image templates product preview templates product packaging design well-written and approachable bio clearly defined products or services social media tagline mini bio for sidebar or guest appearances content plan for website analytics tracking sheet growth and promotion plan business or brand plan monetization plan The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 5
brand loves list From the list of brand items on the previous page (plus anything else you can think of) write down the brand items you already have (and want to keep) and what you love about them. Trust me. It will help you feel accomplished and know what s still missing. Brand Items I Have and Want to Keep Why I Love Them The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 6
brand needs list From the checklist of brand items (and anything else you can think of) write down what you still need and what you have but want to change. Also, give yourself an ideal deadline. Brand Items I Want to Change Deadline The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 7
take a break and record some thoughts What do I want people to say about my brand after they first encounter it? << Answer in the quote bubble. What is my brand statement? Visit byregina.com/brand-statement/ for a formula to create one. Hint: Try to include the items below. 1. Who do you serve? 2. Why do you care? 3. What do you actually provide? 4. What do you offer that s different from everyone else? Record your statement here. >> The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 8
.. the (super fun) brand owner questionnaire.. The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 9
all the juicy details If my brand was a celebrity, who would it be? If they make a movie about me and my brand, what would I want it to be called? Why? When I write my first/next book, it will be titled: What are my top five favorite pages or posts on my site? Why do I like them so much? Are there any similar pages/posts I can create? The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 10
more juicy details What is a dream collaboration I d like to do with another brand owner? Think show, conference, product, class, new brand, book, anything. >> In the romanticized version of my brand and lifestyle, how do I spend each day? << Write out an ideal schedule or things you d do. What are three other brands that I d love to be a spokesperson or ambassador for? Answer in the bubble. >> The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 11
one more page of juicy details What makes me feel appreciated and accepted as a brand? What does success look like with this brand? Do I see myself running this brand for the next 5-10 years? If not, where do I go from here? What is one thing I m afraid to do, that I will attempt this year anyway? << What is one thing I wish I could tell my current or former nemesis? Don t act like you didn t have an archenemy in middle school. The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 12
.. the (super fun) online presence audit.. The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 13
online presence audit Review this list of items that make up your online presence. Write notes for the items you want to change. Get a trusted friend, colleague, or mentor to give you feedback in some of the areas below as well. Note: This is page 1 of 3. The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 15
online presence audit (continued) Online Presence Items social media (part one): do my SM handles/urls match for the most part? do I use the same profile image across all platforms? Notes social media (part two): do my taglines and cover photos all seem to belong to the same brand? have I made them all about me or do they communicate benefits or concern for the reader? social media (part three): have I deleted any pins, links, or other posts that don t work or don t lead anywhere professional? do I double check before I share or retweet something? social media (part four): have I removed any autoresponders or impersonal messages from my SM accounts? are all my profile links updated to my current site(s)? social media (part five): have I removed any images (from Instagram or otherwise) that don t reflect the brand or quality I want them to? social media (part six): have I recategorized all my important videos and pins to include keywords my audience searches for? do all my items have accurate titles and descriptions? do the titles make my audience want to click on them? 18 talk about your big vision for your life + brand How far does this brand go? What am I really hoping to accomplish with it? What legacy or message is important for me to leave behind? << If the people that matter most to me say nothing else besides this about me, what do I want them to say? How do I want to be remembered? >> The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 18

The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 20
.. past me future me.. The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 21
Write a letter to the past you when you were just dreaming up and starting your brand. What do you want your past self to know about the journey ahead? What has made you cry? What has made you laugh at yourself? Have you surprised yourself? Are there any relationships you ve lost or gained as a part of moving forward with your big vision in life? dear past me, The epic #LoveMyBrandKit 22
Check out FutureMe.org as a great tool to write your future self s (as far into the future as you want to go). I think you ll enjoy it, but you can also write yourself a letter below and then read it in 6-12 months. What do you want to have accomplished?
