15 Questions to Find Your Passion

1 One of the best ways to get to the root of what you really want in life and what s holding you back from getting it is through self-questioning. When you re trying to find your passion, you must get intimately familiar with yourself what motivates you, what inspires you, what excites you, what engages you, what scares you, what you do naturally, what you pretend to like but don t, what lies you are living. Use the under-mentioned 15 questions to explore what lights you on fire. Don t rush through these. Go somewhere quiet, with no internet and dedicate at least 2-3 hours to developing your answers. Some may apply more than others. That s fine. Allow your mind to run wild. These questions will only be useful if you allow them to. As you work through these questions, leave space after your answers so you can go back and revise or add to them later on. You ll find the questions provoke deep levels of awareness over time, and certain answers might arise days or even weeks after you first explore the question. Try to answer the questions as honestly as possible, without considering how you should answer or without allowing fear or doubt to get in the way of your deepest desires. It is amazing how simply acknowledging the truth of who you are and what you want will motivate and inspire you toward creative ideas and forward moving action. If you were financially secure and didn t need a paycheque, how would you spend your time? 3. What are you extremely good at? What skills do you possess that you really enjoy and love to do? 4. 3 5. Who is someone in your life or in history whose life and work inspires and excites you? Who do you look up to? Why? (Make a list of people who are where you want to be) 6. When was the last time you over-delivered on something? What was it and why did you work so hard? 7. When was the last time you were in a state of flow and totally lost track of time? 4 8. What do you love helping people with? How do you most commonly help others? 9. What s your favourite section in the bookstore? 10. When was the last time you couldn't sleep because you were so excited about what you had to work on? What was it? Page 4 of 7

5 11. If you trusted that your creativity would support your life, how would you live? 12. If you were able to be a member of the audience at your own funeral (in 50 years or so) what would you want to hear people say about your work? What do you want to be remembered for? Page 5 of 7

6 13. What do your friends always tell you you'd be good at, that you should do for a living (i.e. he d make a great )? If you don't remember, then go ask five of them. 14. If you could write a book to help the world, that is guaranteed to be a best seller, what would the title be? What's it about? 15. What careers do you find yourself dreaming of?
