You don t think the sell-by date of products is really accurate and you are convinced that food could be used for the Christmas meal at no cost for the Town Council. STUDENT B Role Play STUDENT A STARTS THE CONVERSATION 15 You and your partners are in a meeting of your local Council to decide on the Christmas meal for homeless and poor people in your town. You are the representative in your Town Council of the local shops and supermarkets. You know that some organizations are just waiting outside the supermarkets and shops to take away the food from the bins that is about or just past its sell-by date. You think that food is perfect to eat, and it makes you angry that some people can take advantage of this at your expense. On the other hand, the Town Council owes a lot of money to the shops and supermarkets in your town and you want them to pay off their debt. STUDENT C Role Play STUDENT A STARTS THE CONVERSATION 15 You and your partners are in a meeting of your local Council to decide on the Christmas meal for homeless and poor people in your town. You are a member of the Town Council. You owe a lot of money to the local shops and supermarkets, but the Town Council is broke. Anyway, you need to organize the Christmas meal for the homeless and poor but your budget is zero. Try to convince the local shops to donate food, but it must be healthy and safe food.
