Since we know that it s very easy to become overwhelmed by choice, or underwhelmed in person (but you can only just be whelmed in Europe ) we ve put together a comprehensive and easy to remember list of what NOT to do when you ask yourself the big question: where do I want to get married? 1. DON T BE A ROOKIE We know you wouldn t want to come across as a rookie, and we know that you will have been thinking about this since the moment you said the big yes, but given that most people only get married once, this is a really important thing to remember. Do your research, understand what you re after, and put the venue on the spot! We love helping you, and we love it when a wedding day isn t just about the marriage of two people but is also the successful marriage of all the event planning elements. It s your day, yes, but they will be experiencing it as well, and particularly when it comes to your fiancé, you will want their input. If your wedding is going to be in the middle of winter though, then there is no point in loving those elements because in winter, you won t be using any of them. Make sure you plan wisely, and think about what the space is going to be like on the day.
