1 1 Catholic Education Center, LLC User Manual If you need further assistance, please or, telephone: (M-F: 9-5) Getting Started. Using your internet browser, type in the address: Next. Click on the Enter the Online Classroom button at right. You will be taken to the e-course site, and asked for your login information. This will be ed to you once we have received your registration and set up your account. If you have not received this, please

2 2 To login, you will enter your Username and Password, then click on the Login button. Once you are logged in, you will see only the courses in which you are registered.

3 3 If you wish to change your password, click on My profile settings in the Settings box at left. Please DO NOT edit your profile itself, or we will have no record of your coursecompletion and grades. Navigation Help: Use the links at top, and in the navigation box to easily move around the site.

4 4 Once you are ready to begin, to enter your course, click on the course title. Once you are in your course, you will see a welcome note and the course-content. The welcome letter informs you of the course requirements, and how to contact the Catholic Education Center (for help or any other reason).

5 To get started on your course, you will click directly on the links found in each Topic/Class box. There are ten topics/classes for each course, and each class should take about an hour to complete. 5

6 6 When you open the lecture notes (in pdf if you need a reader, there is a link for a free download on the front page), they will open in your screen. You can use the icon buttons at bottom right to open the notes in full screen mode, to zoom in or zoom out (increase or decrease size using the magnifying glass), you can save the document so you can read it on your e- reader at any time, or edit/make notes. You can also print the notes to take on the go, or to use in your classroom! To go back, just x out of the screen (at the top right) to close out of the notes, or use your back-arrow in your browser to go back to the course.

7 7 When you open the quiz, you will see that you can only take the quiz once. When you are ready to start the quiz, click on Attempt Quiz now. You will be asked to be REALLY sure you want to do the quiz now. If so, click on Attempt quiz now.

8 The entire quiz will open in your screen. To answer questions, just click on the right answer s radio button. When finished, click on Next at the bottom left. 8

9 9 You will see that your answers have been saved, and you simply need to click on Submit all and finish. You MUST do this for your grade to be recorded. You will be asked if you are REALLY finished no going back! If so, click on Submit all and finish.

10 10 Now, you will be able to review your quiz, and see your quiz results. These results are also recorded in your grade book. When you are finished reviewing your results, click on Finish Review at the bottom left.

11 11 Once you have finished your review, it will verify that your grade is recorded. Once finished, click Back to the course. If you wish to see your grades in the grade book, click on Grades under the Course Administration in the Settings box.

12 12 Your grade book will open in your screen. We do transcripts the first Monday of every month. You will receive your transcript by from: When you click on the Discussion forum link (see page 5), the forum will open in your window. At the top, you will find the topic of the forum. You can simply add a new discussion topic (your answer to the question), or click on other posts to read. To fulfill the forum requirement, you need only post your own topic OR answer to another post.

13 13 To post your own topic, click on the button. A new screen will open. Forums work much like . The question is posted at top. You will enter a subject line and message. If you wish to attach a file, you may (up to 8 MB). You can also subscribe to the forum and have posts sent to your account. When you are finished, be sure to click on Post to forum (bottom right). To reply to a forum, click on the post you wish to read, then click on Reply, and fill out the form as you would if you were posting a new topic (above).

14 When you have finished for the day, remember to logout. Go back to the front page of the course and click on the Logout link at top right. 14
