2 1.What s Your Story? If you want to stand out in the online world- with so many entrepreneurs, coaches and service providers, you must be open to sharing your story. People buy stories. I used story telling on social media and connecting with my target audience is what allowed me to be booked solid. Not expensive advertising or sneaky marketing tactics- but simply just being real. Telling people who I was, what my purpose was and why it mattered. The first prompt is to write about YOUR story. You can go as far and as deep as you want to go, or you don t have to. I always recommend coming up with a list of 5-10 personal stories that brought you to where you are now. These can be things like overcoming obstacles, marriage or divorce, heartache, struggle or achievements. WHY are you doing what you re doing? Why did you decide to become an entrepreneur? What was that point in your life that made you make the decision to do what you do? 2.Why You Rock List all the reasons WHY YOU ROCK! It can be things your clients say about you, compliments you ve gotten or just the confidence you have in yourself and your skills. Accomplishments, achievements, degrees, things you were able to overcome. As service providers we are so intent on helping everyone else, shelling our praise for our fellow entrepreneurs, that we sometimes forget just how amazing we are. I call this exercise, gratitude for oneself. I want to know what makes you different and what makes you awesome. What s going to

3 separate you from the sea of other coaches, healers, copywriters, consultants, web designers, etc? List at least 10 reasons why you rock (and how that translates into why someone should work for you). Another way to look at this is 10 reasons why you should work with me. If you get stuck here, ask around. Ask family, friends or clients what they think about you. 3.The 10 Best You can do this for just about anything in just about any industry, and it s pretty simple. Just don t fall into the trap of doing what everyone else is doing. Don t just talk about the typical and predictable things. Think outside the box a little bit. List the 10 best as it relates to your business. Examples: Health coach- The 10 Best Exercises for a Sexy Bottom Life coach: The 10 Best Quotes to Lift You Up Biz coach: The 10 Best Apps for Productivity You get the picture Go for it and Have fun! 4.The 10 Worst Similar to the previous prompt, except that you will apply this to the 10 WORST in your specific industry or niche. List The 10 Worst as it relates to your business.

4 Examples: Health coach- The 10 Worst Foods for Your Gut Life coach: The 10 Worst Things You Can Say in a Relationship Biz coach: The 10 Worst Things You Can Do on Social Media 5.The Oh, Shit Moment Write about the moment your ideal client realizes they need your help. Think about that specific moment or event that happens, right before she goes and seeks you out. Right before she lands on your website or sales page- what happened? What was she Googling and why? I call this the Oh, shit moment. For some this could be when she hits rock bottom, maybe it s when she can t fit into a new dress she bought in a bigger size, maybe it s when she realizes she is running out of time and money to make it happen in her business. This content is golden and if you can get this part down to a tee, your marketing and sales pages will ROCK. If you get stuck here, survey your target audience. Ask to do quick phone interviews or surveys with people that fit your ideal client. 6. Giveaway or Contest Brainstorm a giveaway or contest with a gift your ideal client would die to get their hands on. Create something that fulfills a want AND a need for your audience. You want them to be excited to participate and share.

5 The key here is to make it highly valuable and sharable. For example, if you are a new health coach just starting out, then offering a free session with you is just okay. If people don t know you or aren t familiar with your results, this may not be appealing to them, even if it s free. However, if you package it up and give away a session with you, your favorite cookbook, workout gear and a FitBit- well now, THAT s more enticing. 7. Controversy Being boring, bland and vanilla is so overrated. You were meant to stand out, so don t try so hard to blend in. If you aren t ruffling any feathers on a regular basis, then you re doing something wrong. Write a controversial post as it pertains your industry/niche. For example, if you are a health coach and every other health coach tells you to eat kale and drink green smoothies, you can write an article on how eating cookies can help you lose weight. You don t necessarily have to have a completely different stance, maybe it s just a different approach. Something that will pique the interest of your audience and make them want to listen. 8. Check It! Create a simple checklist for your ideal audience. Think about what they want, need and what they can use in their life/business today. Turn it into a pretty PDF and now you have a new freebie opt in for list building.

6 9. Plan It Create a planner or scheduler that your ideal clients can use to achieve their desired results. It can be a daily, weekly or monthly planner, an intentions planner, something they can use to keep track of progress, or to set goals. 10. The Best Day Write a post about the BEST day of your life or business. Get deep with your story here. This will excite and inspire your audience. 11. The Worst Day Yesterday, we wrote about the BEST day in your life or business, today I want you to write about the WORST day. This is the day that changed you as a person, or as an entrepreneur. The day that made you think, feel and act differently about everything in life. This is deep. Don t be afraid to share your story. Your people will appreciate you for it. 12. Debunk The Myths Today s prompt is to write about some common myths in your industry/niche and debunk them. For example, in my industry, there is a common myth that only business coaches make money, so I wrote an article on that which included 10 examples of people who weren t business coaches who were making waves online.

7 13. Client Case Study We can talk all we want about the results we ve gotten personally and how great we are. But what can we do for our clients? Today s prompt is to do a case study on one of your past clients and their transformation as a result of working with you. Try to get as much detail as possible and always bring it back to a result of doing something specific as instructed by their coach (you!) This is PROOF that you are good at what you do. Own it! 14. Praise Party Gather up all your testimonials (different than your case study). All of the good things your clients are saying about you and compile them into a document. This can also include social proof : text messages, FB posts, twitter posts, blog comments, etc. You can use these for newsletters and promos, a Facebook post, on your sales pages and on your website. 15. Dive Deep Look back at your 10 best and your 10 worst lists and choose one topic to dive deep into. That can mean exploring more into it, listing evidence to back it up, including case studies or examples to prove it, or actually teaching your audience something as it pertains to the topic you choose.

8 We have so much content inside of us that we don t even realize this. If you do this for all of your top 10 best and top 10 worstthere s 20 blog posts right there! 16. Make It Trendy Want your blog to pop this week? Make it trendy! What do I mean by that? Go to the right hand side of your Twitter or Facebook and you will find a list of trending topics and hashtags. Use one of the trending topics and tie it into your post. For example, if #mileycyrus is trending, you can write about What Miley Cyrus Taught Me About Selling When you re done, post your link on Facebook and/or twitter and be sure to include the trending hashtag. 17. Link Love Give some link love to your fellow industry peeps by featuring your favorite posts from around the web from this week. Gather up 5 or more awesome article or blogs that you read and put them together in a link love roundup. 18. Quote It Find a unique or original quote and create a picture quote with it. You can make one up yourself, take a quote or a line from your own blog post, or take a line from someone else s blog post (just make sure you give them credit). Share on your various social media platforms (link the post if relevant).

9 19. Flip The Script Take something commonly talked about or recently trendy in your industry and flip the script on it. Write about it from a completely different angle or perspective. For example, everyone talks about webinars being the best way to sell. You can talk about why webinars are a terrible way to make money online. 20. How To Create a how-to for something in your niche. For example, if you are a health coach, you can do a how-to on creating the perfect smoothie or using household items to exercise with. If you are a business coach, you can do a how-to on setting up a sales funnel or how to master the discovery call. This can be a pre-recorded training, video, blog post or Periscope broadcast. 21. Do s + Dont's Write a post listing out the do s and don ts of your industry/niche. Be creative and unique here. Don t just write what everyone expects you to write- think outside the box. Make it interesting. 22. List It Out Did you know popular blogs like Mind Body Green, Entrepreneur, Buzz Feed and Huffington Post LOVE listicles? Lista- what? A listicle is an article on the Internet presented in the form of a numbered or

10 bullet-pointed list. Create a listicle that will be of relevance to your target market. Once that s complete, guess what? You now have a guest blog post you can submit! Using other people s audiences to expand your reach, positions you as the expert. 23. The Best Of It makes you look really awesome when you give a shout out to other people in your industry who are killing it. Thinking there s competition is a lack mentality. Today, I want you to highlight other people in yours or a similar industry who are kicking butt. Make a post where you feature The Best Of in your industry. This should be people that maybe have the same target market, but don t do exactly what you do. For example, as a business coach, I probably wouldn t do an article featuring The 10 Best Business Coaches, but I might do something like, The 10 Best Web Designers and Copywriters for Female Entrepreneurs 24. Before & After This is similar to the client case study, but can also be used on your own transformation/story. Here, you want to chronicle as much detail as possible about the before - what it was like, how it felt, real #s or examples are always helpful. Then describe the RESULTS. The after of working with you OR implementing a specific strategy you teach.

11 25. Sneak Peak This one will get your audience an inside look or a sneak peek into something you are creating. Maybe it s a new course or program you re creating, or a webinar or class you are presenting. It can be preparation for an event or getting something ready for your clients (books, gifts, pdf s, etc). Last week, I did a Periscope and showed the back end of my membership site so people could actually see inside. You just want to give them a little taste and get them excited about what s coming. 26. Interview Style This one should be fun and fairly easy. I want you to do a blog post, video or audio interview. This can be an interview with one of your mentors, coaches or someone you look up to, or it can be an interview with one of your clients. You can also ask the interviewee to share with their peeps. There s nothing better than leveraging other people s audiences! 27. Most Asked Q s Gather up the most asked questions (or objections) from your ideal clients and put them together in an FAQ post. It s really powerful to be able to combat someone s objections before they can even make them. Think of anything that might come up, like: Why is a coach so expensive? Why can t I just have one session? Does this really work? etc.

12 28. The Ultimate Guide This is the mother of all posts! I want you to create an ultimate guide for something that pertains to your niche or is complimentary to what you do. This isn t just a blog post, it s more like a mini ebook. You can do this solo OR you can ask other experts to contribute so you have more meat and credibility on your guide. You can take this and have it prettied up in a branded PDF and use it as an opt in (or even sell it, if it s THAT good). Two great examples of this are The Surprise and Delight Guide by Maggie Patterson and How To Dominate With Video in Your Business by Holly Gillen (both of which I was featured in!) 29. Mini Series Create a mini series or an interview series that is ongoing for 3-5 days. You can do a top 5 or an interview series where each day, you release a new interview or tip. Make sure this isn t lame and just like a regular blog post. You want this to be something that people will want to tune in the next day to read or watch. You can see examples of this with my Crush It With Community Series and this post where I interviewed 10 six-figure earning coaches. 30. Survey Em This prompt is for you to survey your target market on a specific thing. Now, this won t be a general target market survey - instead make it really specific to one thing. This can be things like: What s your most effective social media platform to get clients? How many

13 and what kind of diets have you done in the past? What is the single most important thing in your life? Once you get the results back, compile them into a post of infographic and share with your audience. People love to feel included in things, especially when it s something you are creating specifically for them. 31. Behind The Scenes This one is similar to the sneak peek except you re actually given them a behind the scenes look into one of your day to day activities or a special event. Maybe you are attending an event or conference, maybe you go behind the scenes of your photo shoot, or during one of your daily practices. Periscope is AWESOME for this. I did a scope at the mastermind I attended last month. People were so excited to see what s going on behind the scenes, the real life stuff.
