4 Marine City, March 8--Funeral services for Mrs. Owen Allen, 59, of 142 Scott street, lifelong resident of this city, who died Saturday in St. Joseph's hospital, Mt. Clemens, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, St. Clair. The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today in the Allen home, led by Rev. John R. Hogan. Allen, Matie Catherine Marine City Native Dies in Mt. Clemens Marine City, March 6--Mrs. Matie Catherine Allen, 59, of 142 Scott street, wife of Owen Allen and lifelong resident of Marine City, died Saturday afternoon in St. Joseph's hospital, Mt. Clemens. She was born in Marine City Sept. 11, 1883, the daughter of the late Frank and Kate Ouellette. She was married to Mr. Allen Jan. 4, Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Joseph Allen, Roseville, and Chester Allen, Marine City; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Strong and Mrs. Frank Achetz, both of Marine City; three brothers, Hoyt Ouellette, West Branch, and Russell and Lively Ouellette, both of Marine City, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic church by Rev. Walter J. Rottach, pastor.
