I have been working on this material for a long time and I believe that it will truly have a very big impact on how you dedicate the time you spend on your English. It is indeed possible for anyone to surpass their own perceived potential by combining desire, motivation, and rm determination. However, there is an easy way and I am going to explain it to you here. I have been involved in teaching English as a second language for almost 20 years and I have had the pleasure of successfully assisting thousands of students of the English language over this time. I have seen some incredible success stories and I have also exerted tremendous energy on a very small number of students who would not learn.

3 I choose my words carefully here and say would not. At the beginning of my career I soon developed the ability to identify those students who simply do not intend to succeed and this has allowed me to concentrate my e orts on those students who are indeed determined to learn successfully while identifying and avoiding the most common major obstacles to easy learning. I firmly believe that anybody can succeed in learning English easily. This coaching programme is based on my observations during the past twenty years of those successful students who combined their own motivation with their rm determination and succeeded easily in mastering the English language. I also know that while it requires consistent e ort, just making the e ort will not necessarily guarantee your success. It is necessary to understand where to focus your efforts. What specifically do you need to make an effort on? What speci c actions do you need to dedicate your time to in order to get fast results? It is important to channel your determination by applying a proven strategy and this is possible by observing those who have already been successful.

4 I present this manual as an aid to understanding what it really means to learn English as a second language by understanding how those who have already learnt English before you have done it. This is a proven concept.
