2 APPLICATION LETTER Application letter is one of the documents to be included when we apply for a job. In fact, application letter is like an introduction letter or covering letter in which we mention all of the documents and requirements attached.
3 In Indonesia, the most common documents and attachments to be enclosed with the application letter are: Resume or Curriculum Vitae Photo Copies of certificates or diplomas Copy of identification card (ID card) Letter of recommendation Health certificates Police clearance 3
4 Two Types of Application Letter: Solicited letter Solicited letter is an application letter that is sent to a company that advertises its vacancies through the media. Unsolicited letter Unsolicited letter is an application letter that is sent to a company although you do not know whether there is a vacancy or not in that company. 4
5 In Indonesia, there are no such hints suggested to be included in a letter of application. The most important items to be mentioned are: 1. what job or position you are applying 2. how you have heard about the job vacancy 5 3. when you are ready to begin work or to
6 The following are worth language points to be looked at when writing a letter for a position: 6
7 1. Expressing how you get the information about the vacancy.
