3 2. Decide For this next part, you will use the information from the questionnaire. If you answered the questions truthfully, you should be able to quickly discover the material you are needing to work on. Follow the instructions below. 1. Complete the form (on-line or hard copy) 2. Print out your completed form and track list 3. Look at your selections on number 12 (things that NEED work) and rank them by number. (1A, 2A, 3A etc.) 4. Look at your selections on number 15 (things you WANT to work on) and rank them by number. (1B, 2B, 3B etc.) 5. Go to the track list and find the tracks that correspond with your selections. Put the ranking number by them. 6. For each minutes of practice time, work on one track. Prioritize the A list before the B list when you have under 90 minutes of practice time each session. For better growth and development, spend 2/3 of your available practice time for the A list (20-30 minutes minimum each track) and 1/3 of your time for B list (20-30 minutes minimum for each track).

5 3. DRUM! Ok...I know, that's a lot of work. Good news is, the hard part is now done. Our recommended daily practice time for each track is minutes. That means you will work on that weeks lesson, from that particular track, for minutes. This will help you know how much content you can be working through at one time and prevent a lesson overload. If you have minutes a day to practice, you can work on 2-3 tracks at one time. If you have 2 hours, you could work on 4 tracks at once. We do not suggest you work on more than 4 tracks at a time unless you have 3+ hours a day to devote to practicing. We find that limiting yourself promotes increased focus, decreases burnout, keeps you from feeling overwhelmed, and allows you to work on a topic long enough on a daily basis that you see daily progress. Everyone learns in a different manner, and if you find you can consume information at a faster pace than this, that is ok. Once you have finished a track, you simply move to the next number on your list. If you finish 3A, you then move to 4A. If you finish 5B, you move on to 6B. It is a very simple method to ensure that you always know what you will be working on. You could very easily plan out a years worth of practice time in this manner. If while working through a track you come across a lesson that you've previously worked on, or a topic that you are already competent in, simply skip on to the next weeks lesson and adjust your schedule accordingly.
