1 5 Most Common Ailments Experienced by Highly Sensitive People As a sensitive person, you encounter the world as a sponge. Absorbing energy, releasing energy and being ever permeable to the world around you. Unless you intentionally close down, you will be open to the thoughts of other people, the thoughts existing the closely-present psychic realm, and the thoughts that exist in the many different planes of reality which circulate our globe. That s alot. Depending on your emotional (or energetic) state, you can be tapping into these different streams of consciousness at any given time. And unless you are actively focusing on simultaneously releasing this energy, this could have an effect on your physical well being. While being a lightworker is usually all fun and games, we do have to pay attention to our health and below you will find a list of the most common ailments affecting spongy people including: why they began, how to release them and what you can do to be less affected, and more healthy, in the future. Migraines 1
2 Migraines are a biggie. They occur when you re absorbing a ton of high vibrational energy and not giving yourself the time you need to integrate all the energy you ve absorbed. Think of this like a pressure cooker accumulating steam, but the lid never gets removed. Pressure will build until it eventually pops. If you are in a spiritual growth spurt, absorbing and realizing things so fast psychically, but yet not giving yourself a chance to integrate what you ve let in, you find yourself on a one track path to migraine town. To prevent a migraine: Schedule regular rest times for yourself. Do an activity that doesn t allow you to think about spiritual/work things while you are resting, such as playing a game with other people. Resting while working in your mind does not constitute as rest. To deal with one: Allow for no more stimuli input, and immediately rest. Drink plenty of water. Water is a conduit for releasing energy, as it will carry it out of your body through the digestive tract, and this is exactly what you need to be doing right now. Upset Stomach Upset stomach pains are caused by the exact opposite of above. This is when you are absorbing too much low vibrational (pain) energy and not consciously releasing it. The energy could be coming from readers on your blog, housemates, or siblings. Either way, if someone is worrying in your life and you get suddenly sick, this is a prime sign you ve absorbed their worry energy. 2
3 To prevent stomach pains: Stay conscious of what you are trying to heal for other people and not for you. If it is not also healing for you (your work should help you as it helps others), you may be over-extending yourself, trying to fix it for them, and in turn, taking on their pain. To deal with it in the moment: Take in a glass of warm water, honey and lemon, as this will calm down any stomach spasming that is already happening. Once it s relaxed, evaluate the situation and cut your cords. Recurring Cough Too many people tapped into your throat chakra. Whether these are spirits who have messages they want to deliver or business partners who want you to do this or that, a recurring cough is a sure sign there are too many cords in the throat chakra. Do you have someone in your life who has a stake in your business? Do you have spirits in your life whose messages you are ignoring or haven t been listened to in a while? Do you have anyone in your life whose well-being is tied to how you use your mouth and express yourself? If so, these are all prime signs you ll be getting that typical throat chakra cough. How to prevent it: Speak your truth and let people know where you stand. If someone is pressuring you to say this or that or to make a business move, tell them where you stand outright - and get their hands off your throat chakra by claiming it for yourself. If you aren t in that situation, chances are you have Spirits who have messages for you, and you can calm the coughing, by writing out those messages. 3
4 How to deal with it in the immediate: Make yourself some lemon honey water from above to calm the spasming, and then evaluate the situation. Do you have someone in your life who has a stake in what you say - either for their own livelihood or for yours? Or do you have a Spirit who needs to deliver a message? Either way, to calm it down, you ll have to deal with the issue. Lethargy Lethargy is caused by too little of your energy in your aura, where too much of your energy is being pulled outside of yourself. As we help others, our energy leaks out, gets scattered and stays in places we have once left. Have you agreed, either consciously or unconsciously, to solve other people s problems for them? Have you spent your entire day, week or year, helping other people solve their issues? If so, your energy may still be with them. The more people tapped into your energy for help, for guidance or for assistance, the less of it you are going to have - for you. To prevent lethargy in the future: Call back your energy at the end of every business day. There is a Calling Back Your Energy Meditation in the Meditation Room to help with this, use it. You ll notice a difference the first time you do it, almost immediately. The more you do it, the more you will notice requests coming in that require you to give, energetically, and because you ll be getting better at noticing it, you ll also get better at deflecting it. To deal with it in the immediate: Rest and ask your angels to perform an energy healing on you as you sleep. They will. Then, say no to everything for a week. Be indiscriminate - just say no. The more you deflect requests for 4
5 your help (usually coming from those closest to you), the more you ll notice how many drains you have tapped in. 5
6 Insomnia Insomnia is often caused by having too much energy in your aura. Usually this is due to Spirits. Spirits have no sense of time and will try to get messages to you at night, if that is their only time. Because spirits are high vibrational, having them in your energy field as you sleep will make it nearly impossible for you to do so. It s like playing fast paced, upbeat music while trying to get a baby down. Not helpful. To prevent insomnia in the future: Give your Spirits time during the day to deliver the messages they have for you. Write down their messages and their directives, so they can be sure you listened to what they said. If you do this daily, and they know you are committed to hearing them during the day, they ll bother you less at night. In the immediate: Tell them you appreciate their help, but need to sleep. Visualize them backing up and moving away from you. Go for a walk during the day to help release some of your excess energy, and this will help train your body to get more tired at night when it s time to cool down. 6
