1 1 2 Initial Response to Baptismal Candidates Interview with Candidates 3 Contacting Necessary Ministries Baptism Process 1. Schedule baptism every 4-5 weeks (ideally 20 people: 4 per service) 2. Check database for expressed interest 3. Contact the candidates: (1) , (2) Phone CONVERSATION 4. Response to their Wufoo form /phone call (A.S.A.P) Schedule interview (if over 18; if younger have student ministries follows up) [if absolutely necessary phone interview] 1. HIGHLIGHT POINTS 2. Confirm that facilities is ready with: (1) trash can with a liner (2) 2, 4 tables 3. Send out to confirm everyone is going to be there (baptize, volunteers, photographer, pastors) 4. Make sure you have: Box of Joe (coffee) & Box of Donut holes (50) [extra blueberry] Room set up by 8:15 (45 minutes before 1 st baptism) [Saturday night: don t 6 Follow Up 1. For baptized: worry about donut holes everything else the same] Make sure towels are down front for microphone & extra for people being baptized 2. Meet & welcome (make sure they are never in the room alone) (1) Change into t-shirt, (2) meet with pastor who is baptizing & tell story, (3) tell which side they are going to be on & save seats for those being baptized Sign the tub (instructions in the service): (1) Order of service, (2) logistics of baptism (e.g., Way to pose, etc.) 3. Baptize (tell their story) Post: Take pictures in the lobby 4. Talk about next steps Join a small group, serving team, church culture class (ipad to sign up) Get a study Bible with a reading plan?
