It took me a while to find what others were doing and setup up stuff. In case you do not know or have not guessed yes, my passion is to help others reach the success they are looking for. 3 I understand that success is different for everyone, so I'm not trying to tell anyone what success is, I let them pick-n-choose the success tips they are interested in since for some that is health, others it's faith, yet others it's time freedom, even other it's simply a happy family or well behaved children and for many others it is wealth or financial which is where this comes in. I've been wanting to do something to help others for a long time. I considered doing lunch-n-learn sessions at my job and I thought about writing a book which I will surely still do in the future. I would enjoy when my friends asked me for advice and even though I'm not an expert, I had read so many books about relationships and personalities and gave my advice and was happy to see it help them. The advice I gave (and I still give today) is from what I learned from others, so it does come from an expert and I am just a conduit for them to reach more people which is really my passion at work. 4 Monetizing Your Passion If you have a passion and you've been wondering if you can make some income online from it, I am excited that you decided to get this simple step by step guide. I will show you, in easy to follow steps, how you can monetize your passion and generate some income from it fast, within 30 days. Of course, I'm not taking about full time income within 30 days, I just mean you can start getting some income within 30 days if you follow the guide and exercise all the steps quickly. I also must say that I can't guarantee this as it depends on how quickly you set things up and how fast you can generate some content, but if you follow my easy steps, it will be possible for you to produce income from this system. 7 List of steps Here are my "12 Easy Steps to Monetize Your Passion Fast" using YouTube and Facebook. I will go into more details in the following pages, be here are the 12 steps: Step #1- Clarify your passion Step #2- Get your My Lead System PRO mastery account Step #3- Go through the training Step #4- Register your domain Step #5- Setup one or more affiliate accounts Step #6- Setup your YouTube channel Step #7- Setup your Facebook fan page Step #8- Setup your blog Step #9- Produce content Step #10- Setup your autoresponder Step #11- Setup your lead capture pages Step #12- Follow up with your leads Obviously, you can do this many different ways and you can skip some of these steps if you want, but I know that if you follow all these steps, you will get the most results. For example, you don't have to get a domain name, but I can tell you that many people will not opt-in as a lead if your domain is not professionally setup. Another complaint I hear a lot is that it costs too much to get a My Page 7 of 33

8 Lead System PRO mastery account. I would caution you to not think that way because if you follow these steps, you will get others who want to do like you and it won't take long before you get 2 referrals and then your My Lead System PRO membership is free. Besides, you can get a trial account for next to nothing which lets you access training to see how valuable it is to get a mastery account. Of course, you could go find training online, on YouTube and other sites and you can learn a lot, but you might find it difficult to get the right training and learn in the best order possible to monetize your passion as quickly as possible. That's how they did it before My Lead System PRO, all on their own and I'm sure you could do that too, I just know I didn't have the patience for it. I needed to make money NOW! 9 Step #1- Clarify your passion Clarifying and defining your passion is probably the most important step and it may take you just a few minutes or many days depending on how long you've been thinking about it until now. It can be woodworking, photography, a sports team or an industry. It can be helping people to make money, to find love or to find their faith. It can be nursing, teaching, plumbing or hygiene. Find what causes you to get a good feeling in your gut when you think about it or when you get into a conversation with someone. If you are already on Facebook, you probably already post about your passion and you probably also like and share lots of other content about your passion. Ask your friends and family what they think you are passionate about. You may be passionate about many things and that's great, but for your online brand and to monetize your passion, you need to be focused on one passion. You can always talk about your other passions, but keep one as a focus. Page 9 of 33

12 If you don't have the money or feel you can do this on your own, I can tell you from experience that there's a lot to learn to do it on your own. 13 Step #3- Go through the training Once you have your My Lead System PRO membership, you'll have instant access to hours and hours of training. I'd recommend you don't go listen to everything as that will take you months, especially if you got the mastery membership which gives you access to hundreds of hours of training! Here's what I suggest and since I did go listen to stuff that I really didn't need initially and wasted some time, I can help you be as efficient with your time as possible. Page 13 of 33

14 Start with the initial basic training which you'll find on the home page by just clicking the NEW? START HERE button on top left of page. It looks like this: After you've gone through that, since I am guiding you through YouTube, Facebook and Blog marketing, you should go through all the training although you can do some of the next steps before finishing that, I leave it up to you as to the order you want to do it, but the training would be: Training -> Marketing Strategies -> Social Networking -> Facebook Marketing Training -> Marketing Strategies -> Content Marketing -> Blogging Training -> Marketing Strategies -> Content Marketing -> Video Marketing There's a ton more stuff there and also in the library at: Training -> Training Library Which you can sift through and search for anything you are interested in or the subjects we mention here. 15 Step #4- Register your domain Choosing your domain is just as important as defining your passion. The easiest thing to do is just use yourname.com which will work no matter what your passion is. For me, I want to be known as a success coach in 3-5 years, so SuccessWithJS.com made sense for me. If you choose a name other that yourname.com just make sure you don't use a company name or industry segment because this will be with you for a long time. Remember that yourname.com will work no matter what you do, no matter what company you are with and no matter who you become in the process. Also, don't spend too much time on this, just pick and go, it's not super expensive and you can always change it later. You can go to many domain providers, but you'll need one that allows you to forward (unless you pay for an account too, I just forwarded all my domain s to my gmail account) Personally, I use ZoneEdit because I'm a bit of a techie and had that way before they because a full service provider, so I'll guide you through using that site as the example. Any other site will have tutorials, so you are free to use any of them if you are confident in their training and service. Go to zoneedit.com Click on Sign Up to create yourself and account After login, click on "Buy Domain Names" Put your domain in the "register a new domain" box and click "next" Page 15 of 33

16 If the domain is available, you need to agree to terms and clicl "next" You can then choose other options which will be less than $15/year if you get more than 1 year right away. Go through shopping cart to activate it. Next you need to setup the domain, we will do that later. You are ready to get you blog setup - we will do that in Step #8- Setup your blog. Page 16 of 33

17 Step #5- Setup one or more affiliate accounts Strictly speaking, you certainly do not need this, but it's a good idea to have this as you will most likely be telling people in your blogs, videos and posts about your own experience with books, audios and other products that then can buy online. For example, you can get an Amazon affiliate account very easily and make commissions on anything people buy from Amazon who were referred to them by you. All you need is an Amazon account and then you just activate your affiliate account with them. After that, you can just use their search engine to find the products you are talking about in your blog or posts and put those links for people to find out more. There are many other affiliate programs out there and companies are more than willing to give away a small percentage or any sales you send their way. Whatever your passion is, you can Google affiliate programs for it and set yourself up on their sites. Page 17 of 33

18 Step #6- Setup your YouTube channel If you want to be posting videos (and I highly recommend you do), you should be setting yourself up a YouTube channel. Even if you don't want to post video content of yourself (that I highly recommend as well), you should set it up to post other video content to share. Setting up your YouTube channel is a super easy thing to do. However, I will give you a few tips to make sure you don't get any surprises. First, you should know that you will have your channel for as long as you keep your Google account - they are tied together and now with Google+, the integration is even more tight knit. What this means is you should think about your Google+, Google and YouTube channel as one and you should think about how you want it to look to people in 1 year or more. For me, I will become a success coach, so my Success With JS made sense to me. As I said above about your domain, it's the same thing and they should most likely match but you can always have your name as your channel and that works very nicely too. So, go to login and click on the little menu icon and then choose "My Channel". This will prompt you to create a new channel and you should follow any prompts given to you. Depending on different factors, you may or may not be able to select a channel name, but don't worry about that for now as you will be able to in a few weeks if you post good content. Page 18 of 33

19 Step #7- Setup your Facebook fan page If you don't already have a Facebook account, you'll need to set that up first. There is a lot of YouTube videos and training on that, so I won't cover it here and will assume you already have an account. Login to your Facebook account, do this on a computer as I don't know if you can create a fan page from your mobile, but it's probably easier anyway on your computer. Click the little down arrow on the very right of the top blue bar and select the "Create Page" link. You can choose something else, but "Public Figure" is what I recommend, so pick that and then choose "Business Person", enter your name (or page name) and click "Get Started". Enter some info and go through the setup. You are ready to use your page to share content and start finding followers. Note that after 25 likes, you will be able to give your page a "Facebook Web Address" also referred to as a "vanity name" which just means you'll be able to say facebook.com/yourname instead of facebook.com/your-name Page 19 of 33

20 Step #8- Setup your blog Another amazing thing about My Lead System PRO is that it now includes a free (I mean included at no extra cost with membership) WordPress blog posting site of your very own! If you Google how to setup your own Blog site, you will find that everyone says you must use WordPress and although it's not impossible to set it up yourself and you might even have a little more control of plugins and admin access to your back-end as well as possibly the benefit of owning your server, I'd highly recommend you use the My Lead System PRO sites setup as they will maintain it for you and you can always download your pages as an export to backup your content. If you chose to not get an My Lead System PRO membership, you will need to do your own research on setting up a WordPress server. It is free software, so you can install it on a Linux server of your own or a VPS (Virtual Private Server - a server in the cloud), but I won't be able to help you there. All right, you decided to go with My Lead System PRO's easy Sites setup. Go to your My Lead System PRO login and follow these steps: Go to My Websites -> MLSP Sites Watch the videos Take note of you login and password Open in a new window/tab Page 20 of 33

21 Login and follow the guides there There is a bunch of training there and it's going to take you a while to go through it all, but here are a few things you'll need to do: Click on "MY DASHBOARD" on top right Create a new Post Click on Posts on the left hand menu Click "Add New" button Type some text and click "Publish" Setup your domain to map to your Sites page Click on "Tools", then "Domain Mapping" Enter your domain such as " in the "Mapped domain" box and save it. Now, you need to go back to your domain provider's web site and set a CNAME record for the My Lead System PRO Sites address your account uses. You will see the name right next to "Domain(s) mapped to If you chose ZoneEdit as I did, you can do this: Got o zoneedit.com Login Click on Domains Find your domain and click the "dns" link on the "@" line, set "type" to "Alias (CNAME)" and enter your full domain with a trailing dot (like jsgagnon.mlspsites.com.) 22 on a new line, add www, set to "Alias (CNAME)" and enter the same thing. click on "next" click on "confirm" click on "done" Page 22 of 33

23 Step #9- Produce content Producing content means to create blog pages, record videos, post pictures, etc... online where your followers can benefit from that content. What you have to remember is that you are not trying to sell your opportunity or any products or services, people hate that and they will love YOU. Don't worry about the initial quality since that content will not be seen by many anyway in the beginning, most likely it will be seen only by your friends who already know you anyway. The secret is that over time you'll automatically get better - we all get better as time goes on, if we practice. I'm sure you remember your parents telling you "practice makes perfect" - well, in this case, you might never get "perfect", but you will attract like minded people and eventually you will have a following. It will be a natural progression for them to want to be part of anything you are doing and that is when they will start asking to work with you. Just make a decision as to what you are willing to do and how much content you want to produce. For example, I decided to to YouTube videos and blog posts and I chose to have a Facebook Fan Page. I also decided to do 2 videos per day for the first 30 days and then 1 video per day for the next 60 days and I think I will do 2-3 videos per week after that. Page 23 of 33

24 When you make that decision, it will help you to focus. For me, I don't go to bed until I've done my 2 videos and blog posts. It might help you to decide what your plans are if I tell you it takes me about 1 hour to do a post, so it takes me 2 hours per day to do my posts. With all the learning I am doing, the connecting and training I'm listening to, I am spending 4-6 hours per day right now, but you can be very successful with only a few hours a week as long as you are consistent and persistent and you make a decision of what you want to do. Something else you will want to do as content is s to send out to your list. If you get an My Lead System PRO membership, you can leverage their campaigns to start, but you will always will want to have custom s to send with specific information based on your passion. 25 Step #10- Setup your autoresponder You can certainly skip this step as well, but if you are serious, you will need your own autoresponder. The manual way of doing things would mean that you'd write s using Word or something like that to create merge letters and send them yourself to a list of people you choose. If you are really good at organizing your time and have a foolproof process, that might just work for you, but I knew it wouldn't work for me. If you decided to get a My Lead System PRO membership, you can also skip this step and use their free built-in autoresponder to start, which is what I did, but it didn't take me long to decide I was not going to do that in the long run, so I chose to get my own autoresponder. There are a number of choices and the My Lead System PRO training covers them all but I used aweber. If you want to use any other autoresponder, you'll need to check out the training for those, but to get started with aweber, you simply need to go to their web site and sign-up for an account. You can start with a free 30 day trial if you'd like. Personally, I decided I was serious so I took one of their other deals as I was certainly going to be doing this for more than 1 month, but that's up to you. Once you have your account, you'll need to setup an campaign and you can setup an integration with My Lead System PRO if you are using that. I won't be covering the details of that here as there is lots of Page 25 of 33

26 training on aweber and My Lead System PRO but if you are not getting a My Lead System PRO account, you will have to do some extra work to get setup. Page 26 of 33

27 Step #11- Setup your lead capture pages This step involves creating a pop-up, a specific page on your blog or a funnelizer page to ask people to enter their for some value you are giving them. In the beginning, you might not have anything to give them as you develop some value for them but if you get your My Lead System PRO membership, you get amazing products you can give away for free to build your list with already pre-made capture pages. For example, all these are links I can use to gather leads. Anyone who visits these links and enters their will end up being one of my leads. Once you have your My Lead System PRO membership, you will have same links to build your list more links available --- In any case, the idea of a lead capture page is that your web site Page 27 of 33

28 visitors will be able to enter their address and you will be able to gather their address into your list of contacts. Then you will be able to setup campaigns or broadcasts to your list. If you do not use My Lead System PRO, you would need to setup a form on a website which would be integrated with your web site and whichever mechanism you'd have to keep track of the s you get. I won't get into details here since there are way too many options out there but I'm sure you can find training online for whichever method you choose. For My Lead System PRO and if you use the includes sites blog web site setup, here are instructions for pop ups, funelizer and inline forms. Pop ups: 1. Go to Plugins 2. Enable the Pop up plugin 3. Go to pop ups 4. Create a new pop up 5. Set the action of the button to go to the URL you want from above list. Save the pop up Now you can add this pop up to your site and you can track how many impressions and how many leads you get from it. Page 28 of 33

29 Funelizer: Login to your My Lead System PRO account Click on My Websites Click on MLSP Funnelizer Click Launch MLSP Funnelizer Click Enter a funnel name and slug such as subscribe Click Enter page name and slug such as optin Select template and click Use Template Click Save Page And Edit Edit any of the text Enable your integration by clicking And then click Click Select Add API key as indicated Click Click Select aweber Setup API key as indicated Click Click on back browser button Click the Form button on the page Click the Select Select Click Select Page 29 of 33

31 Step #12- Follow up with your leads Probably the most important step is to follow-up. I'm sure you've heard many times that the fortune is in the follow-up and if you thought this system was going to make you rich without talking to people, I am sorry to tell you that you will need to talk to people. The only way to make a sustainable income in any business is to follow up with people. It is possible to make income from online branding without any personal touch (i.e. no follow up personal contacts) but it take a whole lot of advertising and content (i.e. money) to get there.
