2 WEEK ONE Choose Your Course Completion Date M1, L1 Mark it in your calendar. For extra points, post your completion date in our private Facebook group to keep yourself accountable! Conduct Seven Course Calls M1, L2 Each call is typically 30 minutes, however what likely will take time is finding seven high-quality potential students to speak with via Skype. Create a Validation Blitz M1, L3 Follow the 10 Step Validation Blitz Checklist to get your blitz up and running. If one of the steps is going to derail you, skip it! (The most important pieces are the blog post, driving traffic to the post, growing your list with a freebie and surveying your audience.) 3 WEEK TWO Identify Your Three Positioning Power Plays M2, L1 Complete the 3 Positioning Power Plays worksheet to identify your framework, secret sauce, and course name. Create Course Outline Masterpiece M2, L2 Spend an hour each day for a full week working through the four steps (brainstorm, organize, streamline and enhance) to create your course outline masterpiece. Craft Your Course Offer M2, L3 Use the 5 Keys to a Course Offer worksheet to craft your complete offer, including details on your promise, content, bonuses, support and guarantee. Price Your Course M2, L4 Use the Price Point Perfection Formula worksheet to decide on your course pricing. COURSES THAT CONVERT WITH AMY PORTERFIELD 60-DAY COURSE CREATION PROJECT PLAN 3
4 WEEK three Decide on Course Delivery M3, L1 Choose a Slide Deck Template M3, L2 Know your options: direct to camera, slide decks with audio, mix of both (direct to camera and slides) or audio only. It s important to make a decision to keep moving! For support on slide deck templates, check out the Resources Page in your members area. If you are on a tight budget, Create Course Graphics M3, L2 create your own course graphics. Try Canva. Decide on Course Assets M3, L4 Asset options include: Welcome Video, Snapshot Videos, Training Videos, Slide Deck PDFs, Transcripts, Enhancements (PDFs), Audio, Bonuses, Private Facebook Group, Resource Page Build Out Your Dropbox System M3, L4 This will take you 20 min to set up and save you hours of tracking down missing files! 5 WEEK FOUR Build Out Slide Decks with Course Content M3, L2 If you plan to create a course with slide decks and audio, give yourself a full week to lay out your content inside your slide decks. When you have them completed, have them edited for typos and mistakes. If you plan to create your course via direct to camera, take this time to strengthen your outline, practice your content delivery and secure the equipment and extra support needed for filming. 6 WEEKS FIVE & SIX Write and Design All Course Enhancements M2, L2 If possible, write the content for each of your enhancements (cheat sheets, checklists, etc.) before recording your course. That way you can mention them in detail inside your lessons. As for designing the enhancements, use Canva to do it yourself or hire it out. Record Course M3, L3 TECH S Suggested Recording List: Welcome Video, Snapshots, Lessons, and Bonuses Edit Course TECH S You can edit your own videos or hire a contractor to edit them for you. Get Your Course Transcribed (Optional) M3, L4 Send the edited videos to transcription as they are completed so transcription can start right away. This will speed up the process. 7 WEEKS SEVEN & EIGHT Setup Member Site M4, L1 M4, L2 TECH S There are multiple steps to setting up your members site and the steps differ depending on which platform you choose. Watch the Tech Library lessons related to site options to choose the one that works best for you. Setup Private Facebook Group (Optional) M5, L2 Although not necessary, private Facebook Groups offer support and community for your students. Craft New Customer Onboarding Sequence and Set Up Inside Provider M5, L3 To help get your creativity flowing, check out the swipe file from a successful Onboarding Sequence. Beta Testing Note: If you plan to beta test (smart strategy, indeed!), once your course is complete, give yourself an extra week or two to prepare the beta test. From there, decide on the length of your beta test and begin. When the beta test is complete, compile your feedback from your beta testers.
